“This apartment is in an excellent location if you like to be just off the main street of activity. Rivers and mountains all around. Para gliders overhead. Easy access to the shopping and restaurants. Tourist office and small grocery store just down the quaint little street. Inside the apartment it is very comfortable. “Diarmund and Kashi are wonderful hosts to this lovely set of homes. We had Dep 3 which is the top floor penthouse of one of their properties. We loved having Matten as our neighborhood because it’s next to Interlaken but not in it (plus the entire region is very small so the borders don’t matter much). It felt more like a local neighborhood than Interlaken did, and everything was pretty much walkable within 15-20 min. Some things to note about the house and the Interlaken area: - the bus...

“The apartment was nice, equipped well but instructions for operating major appliances were nil and made operation very difficult and frustrating. I would suggest that they have written instructions for operation of each, along with hints for problematic quirks that added to equipment failure. Next beware of approaching the apartment resident managers, my friend/co-habitant got screamed at for no reason because she knocked on their door on a weekend to get help with the electric cooktop stove...

“First off, the location is amazing! Couldn’t be more centrally located and it’s directly across the street from the train station. We stayed with two adult and three young kids (8, 5, and 2) and had sufficient space to be in the apartment, but most of the time were enjoying the village directly out the front door. Would definitely recommend!”
