“We have stayed in several rentals, and this one was better furnished than any. It was very comfortable and clean. The host checked in to make sure everything was right, and it was. Beds were great, plenty of linens, and the kitchen was more than fully stocked. The only complaint I had was the bbq. It was a Coleman portable and needs to be replaced, although I made it work. I still give this place 5 stars and would give it 6 if possible.”

“Overall, we liked the property very much. The beach house was very cute and had comfortable beds, a good supply of dishes, pots and pans and linens. The outdoor patio area and furniture were very dirty making it uninviting. We brought our own lounge chairs, and were happy we did. Parking was difficult. Our main concern was the very loud traffic - day and night. Lots of very loud motorcycles. ”

“Booked this lovely cottage for a ten day stay in Ventura and could not have been happier. Super attentive owner on site and EVERYTHING about this property is outstanding. They're not kidding when they say minutes from the beach. Fruit trees visible from windows in living room. Clean accommodations. Easy access to the 101 and walking distance to several businesses. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Full stop.”

“We have now stayed at least 10 times at the Mandalay Shores property; there are many solid reason why we choose this property over hotels and other condos: 1) We do not have pay for parking (often a garage is with the unit); 2) We have no more that 20 feet to our car; 3) We place is always clean and "move in ready" steps to the unit (no long property walks down the hallway) 4) The kitchen is ready for cooking (we use it for snacks mostly and eat out) and you never have to ask if there is a...

Older charm by the ocean!

"The Pierpont Hotel is a charming place just by the ocean. A short walk 5 min, under the freeway, and you are on the beach. There is construction ongoing, and it is an older place, but the little cottage 102 was charming! Rose gardens, great parking by the cottage.Few steps to breakfast. Fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, bagels etc. Outdoor and indoor seats. (Could use a little update). Small pool, good for kids. 10 min walk to Ventura pier. Very nice staff checkin and out very efficient. Parking is usd 10,-, deposit usd 100,-. There is a big road just outside, and traffic noise, but was fine in the cottage. Coffee, fridge in room, nice tub and shower. Rustic but charming. Not fancy but cute. Great bed and pillows! I recommend the place for location. No restaurant on site except breakfast, but short drive to a few options. "
