Good: + very nice and well informed guide with historical and mythological anecdotes + Etna and Taormina are amazing places, great introduction to these + bus was modern and clean (but you cannot eat inside) Bad: - the trip took 14 not 10 hours in total - the ride started with fueling the bus (took easy 20’ as the driver didn’t know the car) - In the beginning I sat squeezed with 5 people in the back bench - additional pick ups prolonged the trip - we got lost a few times which added on top If it wasn’t for the many hours in the bus it would have been a great trip but me and my kid were exhausted when we arrived at 9pm in Cefalù. Id go next time by car or take closer trip.

: It is an intense and busy day. The journeys are long, but comfortable. I appreciated the arrangement for the departure meeting point. THANKS. The discovery of Mama Etna was incredible. Of course, once there, we are tempted by the complete cable car and 4x4 visit, which has a certain cost. Luckily with our guide, we had the opportunity to skip the endless line to get the tickets and climb higher quickly. We were therefore able to enjoy the entire experience over the 2h30 we had on site. The visit to Taormina was nice, but it was not our primary objective. So we decided to stroll and enjoy quietly. But the guide suggested going to see the historical must-sees which must have been fabulous. Our guide was extraordinary, friendly and caring. Thanks to her.

The coach journey was very long, about 7 hours in total on the coach, and the first hour was spent just driving around Cefalù and nearby towns picking up passengers, as was the last half an hour. You weren’t allowed to eat or drink on the coach and the stops at Etna and Taormina were not really long enough to get food. At Etna, it was excellent but only because we paid another EUR 68 per person to get a cable car and jeep up to the summit. Anyone choosing not to do that was left at the bottom without the guide and told to go to a cafe, the guide did not provide any guidance as to the sights to see there. The whole trip was about 12.5-13 hours long, not 8 hours as advertised and the drop off is in a different place to the pick up. The coach also arrived late at the beginning. The trip was ok, and I’m glad I did it as Etna was amazing, but that wasn’t really thanks to the tour itself which was distinctly average, verging on poor.
