Detta tre sovrum radhus byggdes i början av 1900-talet, men det fick en ansiktslyftning i december 2018. Med alla moderna bekvämligheter kan du koppla av hemma eller köra ut se sevärdheterna. Tunnelbanan ligger bara ett kvarter bort! Två stora livsmedelsbutiker är mycket nära (Harris Teeter ligger inom ett kvarter). USA. Capitol är 14 kvarter bort - du kan gå, hoppa på en buss, Uber / Lyft, eller ta tunnelbanan. Det har också ett eget garage, en sällsynthet på Capitol Hill. Gå ut ur dörren och staden väntar, och efter en lång dag med utforskning, slappna av i ditt nya hem hemifrån. Det är det perfekta huset för din stadsutforskning!

Det finns en fast hyresgäst som bor i källaren av huset som också hanterar underhållet av huset. Tillgång till hans bostad är på bakgården så att du får se honom komma och åka tillbaka dit då och då. Han kan inte komma in i hyresdelen av huset från sitt rum och han använder inte några bekvämligheter eller apparater i huvudhuset, så hyra är helt privat.

An all-around easy place to stay!

We had a reservation at another property that cancelled on us 24 hours before we were to arrive. Found this one on a busy week and not many options so I was concerned. I needn’t be. It was perfect for our needs. Super convenient to the Metro, grocery shopping, a restaurant marketplace (The Roost), also easy to walk to things of you like walking. We also had a special request which they kindly - and nicely - accommodated. If you drive, the garage is a big help. I would recommend to the property managers to include a sheet in their helpful notebook on how to use Roku since we weren’t familiar with it. Also to check the kitchen to replace items that were used by previous visitors.

Great location for seeing DC for the first time

The property was inviting, clean, and we loved the back patio. Parking was a breeze. Metro was so close and easy to navigate. Alec answered all our questions prior to visiting AND even surprised us with a Keurig when I asked if one was in the kitchen. Perfect for a multigenerational family vacation.

Spring Break Cherry Blossom Family Time

We had a lovely time at this Capitol Hill property. We travel as a family at least twice a year and have stayed at many homes. We have 3 daughters, 22, 20 and 17. Pros: close to metro and groceries, comfortable bedrooms, back yard a lovely hang out, quiet, eclectic and safe neighborhood.Cons: generally clean, but needs a good deep cleaning - the rugs are dirty and musty; generally well kept, but needs some attention to detail with general wear and tear- holes in walls from removed curtain ties not repaired, closet pulls falling off, closet doors not on tracks, chipped paint - just minor upkeep would make the house more appealing. It’s more worn than the photos suggest. We lived in an old Philadelphia rowhouse for a decade, we know how hard it is to keep up old homes! The only thing that I was a bit surprised at was the security - there were no dead bolts on outside doors to lock from the inside - only simple locks on doors with single pane glass and no curtains - would be very easy to break into if desired. Overall, we had a lovely time. We spent our days at museums - for us it was a place to sleep and hang out a bit before dinner out and for respite at night. It was a nice home for our family of 5 and we would recommend it for the easy access!

Great location, great stay

Very much pleased with Alec and the stay at the house. Pro tip: If you never have to contact your host during a 7-night stay to address even the most minor of issues, there's a high probability that they have met or exceeded your expectations, which was the case here. Would definitely consider staying there again.

Perfect location for Wash DC trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed this house, which was well-outfitted, comfortable, quiet. We experience a minor issue with the heating which was corrected 100% very promptly with the kind assistance of Alec (which is why we provided a 4 out of 5 star rating...absent that issue, it's FIVE-star worthy)! We loved that this was walking- distance to grocery store, and just a mile to the Eastern Market area of WashDC. THANKS for an EXCELLENT visit!

The perfect house for exploring DC with family

My husband and I hosted my niece and her family for a week at this house. It was perfect. A quiet neighborhood with close both the metro and a Safeway grocery store within a block. The house was just as described with a wonderful welcome book filled with great information. Alec was very responsive from beginning to end. We would definitely stay here again.

Great space w/ easy access

The space was ideal for our group. It was comfortable and well laid out for the 6 of us. The property manager was helpful and prompt when we reached out. The area has a lot of amenities and is easily accessible to the metro. definitely a great find!

Great place for family reunion

Six septuagenarian sibling/spouses stayed here. Enjoyed the house, the backyard and the proximity to museums and mall. Check in and out were a breeze. Only caveat or caution would be to note that stairs in this age house are steep if anyone in your party has mobility issues.

Fabulous Week!

Three friends visiting the sights in DC, and we had a wonderful time. The house was perfect…spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, updated bathrooms, and spacious kitchen. After exhausting days of walking, we enjoyed cocktails on the patio, having been to the very close Safeway that had everything we could possibly need. Our host was very communicative and accommodating. Definitely a 5 star!

Fantastic location!

The house was well appointed, in a great neighborhood and the proximity to the Metro was great! We basically slept and ate breakfast there but it worked great for our family of 4. Close to the sites. The Eastern Market was nearby and a great place to eat. Would stay here again if we went back to DC.

Great location in DC SE neighborhood

My sisters and I met to celebrate their two big birthdays in January. We chose this location as it had 3 bedrooms and a garage. The home was perfect for our needs, well appointed kitchen, very comfortable beds, two full bathrooms and easy access to the Metro. We enjoyed two wonderful restaurants within walking distance of the home. Catching an Uber was a breeze. The location is in a quiet neighborhood yet only 9 blocks from the Capital. The home owner provided a very thorough welcome book which was very helpful. We highly recommend it.

One of the best rentals we've ever had

This was a fabulous VRBO for our party of seven (two adults, one teen, and four elementary-age kids). Our only hiccup was that the blow up mattress didn't seem to be functioning, but the property manager was responsive and helpful, and we quickly found a solution. If I'm being nitpicky, I could say they could use a few more spoons (but spoons wander from many houses). Otherwise, the house was clean, warm, welcoming, functional, and had everything we needed. Will definitely try to rent this place again if we ever return to DC.

Civic lessons

Location and house were great. One block to a Safeway and one block to the Metro. Only issue was a car illegally packed in alley making it difficult to get out. Not the owner's fault. great weather and easy to get around. Nice neighborhood. Easy to work with owner.

Mostly perfect

We loved this property and would stay there again. Very quaint and clean. Comfortable beds. It was so handy to do a load of laundry midway. We also appreciated how easily we could get to all the local attractions. And the grocery store one block away was a nice bonus! Our only constructive feedback is that there weren’t enough of the basic household necessities. In particular, there were no spare garbage bags, the dish soap was almost gone, and we were on our last roll of toilet paper the morning we departed. These were small issues but worth noting.

Excellent, convenient place to stay

Considering how expensive hotel rooms are in DC, this house is a great value and super convenient. I'd stay here again in a minute. There were 7 of us staying in the house for 3 nights...my wife, our adult daughter and her husband and 3 grandchildren - aged 10 - 12. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths -- so it was a bit tight with 7. One grandchild slept on the down stairs sofa. The location is awesome. It is about a 3 minute walk to the Potomac Ave Metro - which is on 3 main lines. In fact, we flew into Dulles (which the silver line now runs to) and it was a super convenient and cheap way to get into the city. Didn't even need to change trains. There are great restaurants nearby. The Mexican place on Pennsylvania Ave is very good. The Roost is unique. It's like a relatively small, high end, trendy food court with about 5-6 food options. Go the other way (north) one block and there is a beautiful new Safeway. All in all a great place to stay. My one minor complaint would be that the house is old and the stairs and upstairs hallway creak! I was afraid I'd wake someone up -- although I don't think I did.

Great place in DC

Wonderful home in DC close to downtown area. Really had everything one could need. We enjoyed coming back from a busy day and having the space to lounge a little. The garage is a great addition to ensure parking but definitely takes a little skill getting in and out. Would definitely recommend this home.

Family vacation
