To be avoided!
First time we've ever had to check out early to find another hotel! To sum the experience up in bad (-) and good (+): - Extremely loud: The combination of ridiculously thin walls/doors, tiled hallways and great numbers of teenage guests on school trips means the probablitiy of sleep is slim to none - Did probably run out of renovation funds in the late 1970's: The place seems to be crumbling, we were woken up before 7 a.m. on a Saturday by a janitor drilling and hammering through the hallway floor tiles outside our room to fix a "water problem", not only extremely loud, but also left us without running water, no explanations or excuses offered - Cold: Air conditioning with cooling, but no heating, too cold and damp for an April stay. - Lack of organisation, the website said check in at noon, we arrived by 2 PM and had to wait another hour for check in. - Although this is perhaps a matter of taste, the decoration is one big style accident, with a weird mix of italian rustic, fake antique furniture and oriental figurines. Sea view from window blocked by trees, only leaves the burnt-down restaurant across the bay as a scenery. Could perhaps be hilarious if you were not already sleep deprived and freezing. + Kind staff + Good location for accessing the Circumvesuviana train to Sorrento, Pompeji and Naples.
