Great stay for business or pleasure
Loved The Loden! Stayed for business. Nice size hotel, boutique style with top notch service and all the professional add ons needed (free high speed Wi-fi, gym, room service etc). Staff super attentive and helpful. Perfect location Down Town close to everything. A few minutes walk and you're on the Sea Wall with wonderful views of Vancouver and the option of walking Stanley park. Go the other direction and you have the whole city by your feet. And most within walking distance. Am a pressed juice fan so I loved the fact that you have MELO and SMAK just one block down the road. Also Urban Market (super close) is perfect for eat in/take away/deli. Only remark is the fact there is no coffee/tea making facilitites in room. Don't get that. Would be easy to arrange. Though I guess you can always ask for it. Did ask for iron/ironing board and they were more than happy to provide that for my whole stay. Had only a few small annoying experiences with te restaurant - wanted to have lunch one day in the hotel restaurant and asked what time it opened. When I did come down (1 hour later, 30 mins after opeing) it was fully booked! I think it would have been great if they would have suggested that I make a reservation. One the weekend the serve only brunch morning/mid day with a very limited meny (eggs/carbs) I asked for options but they just said no. A little peculiar I think. However all in all I had a great stay, will definitely come back.
