“We spent a long winter weekend at Lake Indian. The cottage is very cozy, functional for a group of up to 8, in a bucolic setting with wonderful views of the mountains. When we came in the evening the thermostat was on low and the house was very cold. Temperature outside was around minus 15 F. first night was spent under several duvets. “There was no heat the first night we were there. The management company said there was a power outage. Luckily, someone in our group was in HVAC tech because the emergency call wasn’t going to respond till 10 AM the next day. The management company offered a late check out as compensation for our inconvenience, which was kind of insulting. I had to ask for a free night before they agreed to it. The thermostat in the house was locked and set to 70. I pay good money for the houses that I rent...
