“Clean room, great shower pressure, updated bathroom and nice breakfast. There’s a bar open till 9 in the main house which is nice. It’s conveniently located to main attractions. We stayed in Remember Baker’s room which had a porch and that was really nice. The property is adorable but needs TLC. The Parsonage house where our room was located had a strong smell of mold/mildew which was tough to ignore. If we didn’t have that issue I would rate it higher but that is hard to get past. “Strong dog smell, dirty shabby condition of interior surfaces. Obvious makeshift repairs, spongy floors, torn, flaking couch. Kitchen counter had multiple burn marks and some sticky substance, corner held down with duct tape. Screen door off tracks, laying against wall. Wife was stung by insect in the unit, had to go to hospital. We moved out after only 3 hours, and literally slept in the car rather than go back. Owner uncaring, rude and greedy. “Innkeeper is friendly and the place was fairly clean. Lovely to have coffee and complimentary breakfast on site. Rooms (especially the bathrooms and baseboard heaters) are somewhat dated and could use a refresh. Visited during a chilly time of the year and thermostat was tricky to operate. Heat was set not to go above 75 degrees, which was less than ideal.”
