“The view at the arrival gave high expectations. Amazing surroundings and beautiful building. But the more we saw, the more disappointment. Room were smelly, old and renovated without heart. The dinner was quite good but the vegetarian alternative was a catastrophe. The breakfast terrible with an absent staff. More than half hour after breakfast was finished, there were still no staff that cleaned the tables. A beautiful building is presented without heart. Too bad.”

“There was a heavy snow fall over much of England whilst we were there which meant that we were snowed in and staff snowed out. Many staff walked in or abandoned cars to get to work and then worked first to cook breakfast (the chef was snowed in) and then to dig us out with the help of spades and the local farmer with a digger. We felt very well looked after and the staff did an amazing job in difficult circumstances.Great Teamwork! Thank you.”

“Everything were good only stayed one night wished i could of stayed longer. With going out for a night out felt like we didnt have much time in the room. Everything was spotless and seemed a lovely hotel ”

“It's a good hotel. But they really need to do something about the noise level in the pool area, we were just 8 people in there but couldn't stay long because of how all sounds were amplified. We had to keep asking them for things at breakfast because no one appeared to be in charge of refilling the bread, cheese, etc. And the door to the room was completely without dampening so it slammed shut really really hard and fast. It's just a matter of time before a kid gets hit by it.”

“The location was great and the staff tried hard, however, everything else was only just okay. The door lock system does not work well with you having to replace the keys frequently. Also, all the public areas are too small. The worst was getting into the breakfast room there were queues and some days impossible to get in.”

“The room was nice and clean. Nice staff and breakfast (hot and cold). On the minus side is the area around the hotel, but easy to reach by foot from the train station. ”
