Sensational cabin with hot tub, sauna, fire place, 85" TV and magical views

Fensalir cabin is our SENSATIONAL FLAG SHIP! A cabin and a guesthouse together 144 square meters (1550 sqf.) that stand on a PRIVATE land in the south of ICELAND. Fensalir is EXTREMELY WELL EQUIPPED and has a thoughtful DECOR. Interior design was down by its owners and all design inputs were carefully chosen with COMFORT in mind.

It can ACCOMMODATE up to 8 people with THREE BEDROOMS and a GUESTHOUSE. Bedrooms are equipped with a wardrobe, bed, 55" SMART TV and the GUESTHOUSE is equipped with 65" SMART TV. One of the bedrooms and the guesthouse are equipped with a SMALL DESK with a MIRROR on the wall which perfect for women to do their MAKE-UP. Here you can see how the beds are:

BEDROOM 1 - Has a 200cm x 160cm bed.
BEDROOM 2 - Has a 200cm x 180cm bed that can be turned into two 200cm x 90cm beds.
BEDROOM 3 - Has a 200cm x 180cm bed that can be turned into two 200cm x 90cm beds.
GUESTHOUSE - Has a a 200cm x 180cm bed.
INFANTS - We have two baby cribs and two high chairs.

The LIVING ROOM has a 85" Samsung SMART TV with LG HOME THEATER SYSTEM!, a COMFORTABLE couch and BEAUTIFUL FIRE PLACE. All TV's in the cabin are equipped with NETFLIX and DISNEY PLUS. Of course there is FREE 5G WIFI. In the living room cabinet are board games like SCRABBLE, MONOPOLY, CARDS AGAINST THE HUMANITY, UNO, PLAYING CARDS and MORE.

The EXCEPTIONAL DINING ROOM seats up to EIGHT PEOPLE and has a big fully EQUIPPED KITCHEN with an ISLAND. The kitchen island has seating for FOUR PEOPLE. The kitchen APPLIANCES are: Refrigerator, Stove, Oven, Dishwasher and a WINE COOLER.

The main house has one full BATHROOM and ONE bathroom with sink and toilet. The guesthouse has a FULL bathroom. The bathroom in the main house has a WASHING MACHINE and a DRYER.

The private deck/patio is HUGE and is quipped a BBQ GRILL, a large HOT TUB that fits EIGHT PEOPLE, a relaxing SAUNA that fits EIGHT PEOPLE - All that FENSALIR CABIN has got to offer is perfect for enjoying the RELAXING, STAR GAZING and catching the NORTHERN LIGHTS. The cabin has of course FREE PARKING SPACE for up to four cars if parked properly.

At Fensalir cabin, you'll experience staying in comfort while enjoying ICELANDIC NATURE at its finest no matter what the season.

Family trip

The house was perfect for our family of 6 and the location is very convenient to do things in the south. The location is the best for watching the Northern Lights, no need to drive anywhere!

Nice stay
Really enjoyed the size, location and hot tub/sauna. Kitchen is well stocked. There is a gate to the community, so make sure you access the check in instructions as soon as they are available. We could not get the instructions open when we arrived at the gate, but there was an open construction road that allowed U.S. to get to the cabin. The cabin is in a little community, but is fairly private. There is a power station or something down the road that put off some light pollution. Overall, would recommend.

Family Celebration
The cabin was the perfect base to explore the southern part of Iceland. We were a family of 5 adults, the cabin gave us plenty of space. The location is remote, perfect for seeing the Northern Lights, but close to Selfoss and the Golden Circle sights. It was extremely well equipped with the bonus of the hot-tub and sauna. It is even better than the photos.

Exceptional house and location
The property was absolutely perfect for my group. We had great weather and viewed the northern lights 6 of 7 nights while at the property. Which was awesome saved me from driving to other locations yes the landscape did not change but the views were still amazing. I would absolutely stay here again if I return to Iceland. Yes it is a bit of a drive to Reykajavik but the location is great for touring the south coast, golden circle, and areas around the national park.

Cozy Comfort in the Heart of Iceland's Beauty
We had a wonderful stay at this cozy and clean cabin, perfectly situated near many of Iceland's stunning natural attractions. The owner had thoughtfully prepared an excellent manual that answered all our questions, and he was always easy to reach and quick to respond to any requests. Even during a big storm, the house kept us warm and comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during our visit to Iceland!

Spectacular Vacation
The Fensalir Cabin was the perfect place for our "home base" As an adult family of 6, it had the right amount of together and alone space. The kitchen was well equipped and bedrooms and baths stocked. The hot tub and sauna were clean and comfortable after long days of exploring the Iceland. Our host Erlingur was helpful with ideas of what Iceland has to offer along with his communication was excellent. This location is perfect for what site we wanted to see as we were only here for 7 days. We primarily stayed in the southern portion of Iceland (as far east as Vik) and Reykjavik. Visited Westman Island for a day. We were able to see the puffins and hike the countryside/volcanos. We hiked to the Reykjadalur hot spring thermal river and saw all the familiar waterfalls, Geysir, Kerid Crater and Blue Lagoon. We took an excursion our to the Katla Glacier & Ice Caves and did snorkeling in ice cold water in Silfra. Baked rye bread in Laugarvatin. All of these excursions are a must! We found amazing restaurants during our stay. The most unique and a great experience is the tomato farm. Vínstofa Friðheima - Winebar & Bistro. Try to make a reservation at at Friðheimar. Truly a unique place. We will be back someday to explore more of this sensational island. I highly recommend staying at the Fensalir Cabin. Thank you for your hospitality.

Amazing stay in the coziest place!
A bunch of my med school friends and I stayed here for our trip to Iceland and we were so pleased with the experience. It was the perfect basecamp for us as we travel mostly during the day and came back to the best amenities and such a great open space for all of us to relax. Communication was thorough but through WhatsApp and through a very detailed handbook left inside! Would absolutely recommend this place to future guests!

Family Vacation in Iceland
We had a wonderful stay at this property. We were travelling with children and grandparents and the home was perfectly equipped for all of us. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals and the house was also a convenient distance to a town with shops and restaurants. This was a great home base to see many attractions. Stunning Views
The cabin and surroundings were beautiful! We slept very well in the quiet. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. We appreciated being able to do laundry. The fireplace was amazing. The location made getting around to the locations we wanted to visit very easy. The owners were very friendly and flexible. Check in/out was a snap. We would love to come back!

Fantastic place
The place was as described. Beautiful home; great views from large windows. Very warm and comfortable Nice shower; rooms; kitchen; extremely quiet rural area. Grounds are muddy outside if you try to walk but easy to park car at door. It’s a bit of a drive to get to key tourist attractions. If you follow detailed instructions in book then you can get everything to work Hot tub and sauna makes you very spoiled and pampered. Host very responsive and was kind to allow early check in

Winter visit
The cabin location and amenities were fantastic, we could not have been happier. Owners were accommodating and make things easy with a lot of resources and information about the cabin. We didn’t use the hot tub more than one time due to windy cold conditions - also a wee intimidating to have to put water in it when it’s cold and blowy. Sauna was fabulous but took quite some time and the floor rarely got warm enough due to the cold.

Christmas at Fensalir
The cabin, 3 bedroom with a guesthouse, was situated only 15-20 minutes north of the town of Selfoss. It was easily accessible but you need a vehicle that can handle snow should they get a nice storm like we did on Boxing Day! It is not remote, but feels like it. It sits in a quiet area with several other homes within sight but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. It is well stocked for plates and such and guests have donated quite a selection of spices and such over thier stays. Selfoss, the nearest town has two grocery stores: Kronan & Bonus. The owners are very friendly and provide a detailed guide to the cabin—better than I have seen in most other properties. I think they go above and beyond to make guests at the cabin feel at home. Due to the weather we did not try the hot tub but we used the sauna multiple times and it had a gorgeous view out the tinted glass. Only issue we had was that the home was pretty hot so we had to leave windows open from time to time and never used the fireplace. So the next guests have plenty to use! Last thing, is that the owners are extremely helpful in helping you get prepared for your stay and have compiled very detailed guides to help guests long before you even step foot into into Iceland!

Cozy Stay at the Fensalir cabin
We had a fabulous time exploring Iceland from this cabin. It was spectacular having a hot tub and sauna to use every day. The place was comfortable, clean and big enough for our family. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen!
