Relax with the whole family at this multi-level, 2+ bedroom, peaceful cottage. Filled with natural sunlight and a cool breeze off the pond, this cottage is the perfect spot to leave your worries behind. Spend the day on the lake fishing (with a license you can purchase online) boating, paddle boarding, or soaking up the sun from your private dock. Explore the area— mini golf, ice cream, restaurants, hiking, wineries, coastal towns, shopping and more.

This spacious cottage is perfect for a family who wants to enjoy the lake and all the surrounding area has to offer. Kids will love the bunk room and loft (accessed through the bunk room), while parents will love the private primary suite in the lower level, featuring a king sized bed.
A small work area is available in the bunk room behind it’s beautiful barn door.

Two comfortably furnished living and family rooms make this home stand out. The main level living room boasts lake views with beautiful afternoon lighting. Enjoy the Roku TV while taking in the scenery. One of the couches pulls out for a full size bed.
The lower level family room features a Roku TV and a second pull out couch. The primary suite entrance is through this family room.

The large eat-in kitchen has all the essentials for your stay. Enjoy the coffee bar and sitting area while taking in the morning sun.

The backyard is partially fenced in on the sides but open to the back wooded area. Snowmobiling trails connect to the back yard for winter use.

The lake front and dock is down the stairs in front of our home. The public boat launch is down the road with plenty of rental companies in the area. We encourage you to enjoy the lake in the winter too! Ice fishing and snowmobiling are popular local activities.

Sabattus is a quiet and centrally located small town with plenty to do in the surrounding areas!

Great weekend
We stayed for a long kind free weekend and had a fantastic time. Jen had great communication with us and answered all questions promptly. The house was clean and included everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had a couple hiccups (paddle boat not functioning, bean bags to cornhole were broken and trash barrels were full upon arrival) but it did not stop us from having an enjoyable weekend. The stairs are definitely a hole for even an in shape individual but a little exercise never hurt.

Disappointing
Absolutely was not what we had hoped for or paid for and neither was communication from the owner/host. We rented thinking this was a lake front property but in actuality you have to cross the road and go down a bunch of stairs to get to the dock they own. There's no sitting space down there at all and it's all rocks that are pretty much vertical. (Not good for children) The paddle boat they posted online would not steer. Upon arrival on Thursday evening the sun hit the lake just right that I did not see how bad the water quality was. Two of my daughters swam in this water. The next day I came out in the morning and noticed how green the water was, there was an allergy Bloom (which is dangerous to humans) I notified host about her obligation to let renters know about this possibility. I rented in February. Our intire vacation we could not go in the water. Again I reached out to the owner about feeling that this was her responsibility to let renters know allergy bloom occurs on this property, or if it was occurring and she had no response to that. To try to keep ourselves entertained we planed cornhole, something she also has as a highlight to her property the cornhole bags were so weathered four of them blew open while we were trying to play. At one point she told me that I could drive my children to Freeport so they could swim which to me seemed absolutely ridiculous as I paid a good sum of money for a lakefront property. Very dissatisfied and would not recommend.

Great amenities
This is one of the best properties we rented in terms of amenities. The cottage was stocked with anything you could possibly need inside and out! It was tastefully decorated too! THANK YOU! We had a lovely stay! *There are stairs you must climb in order to reach the house, but we already knew this from the description and it wasn't an issue for us.

Beautiful Sunsets
We enjoyed the space and the location. The stairs you have to take to get up to the house can be a lot if you have heavy luggage and have to make multiple trips, but once in the home, the views are beautiful. My son loved fishing off the dock and the home had what we needed for a couple night's stay.

Great place
The house was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Good communication with hosts. Be warned: there are a lot of stairs as the property is on a hillside above the lake. Not a lot of boat traffic, which was nice. The lake was good for fishing. Our son caught a northern Pike on his first cast from the dock. It is also quite weedy so not an ideal swimming spot. Overall a relaxing experience.

Nice view, comfortable stay
We spent a couple of days here while visiting colleges in area. This was a convenient location, a comfortable cottage, and we really enjoyed sitting on the deck and looking out through the tree tops at the lake.

Great Getaway
What a great house! The house was everything it was advertised to be, complete with a beautiful sunset over the lake. Super comfortable, clean with nice decor/touches throughout the house. It was a wonderful home away from home!

Cute cottage!
Had a great stay during Maine’s hurricane weekend. Wished we had been able to enjoy the fire pit in the backyard, but the weather didn’t allow. 2 cozy living spaces great for crafting & game nights. As stated in the listing, there’s a lot of stairs to get to the house. Pack accordingly!

Wonderful stay
We chose this location as it was close to a wedding we were attending. The house was super clean and had all the necessary amenities. It was very tastefully decorated. The house sits up high on the bank with beautiful views of the lake. There are about 30 steps to get up into the house. Our host was very responsive as far as communication. We had a lovely weekend!

Great place for a family vacation!
The cottage was perfect and included everything we needed to make us feel at home. The location was also very good as it was close to many attractions (Portland, Old Orchard). We even went to Acadia NP one day, which was further, but still doable. The yard and the view on the lake were amazing. We were able to enjoy the kayaks provided, however the pedal boat wasn’t working properly, as the steering handle was stuck in one position. Finally, the lake was green and not swimmable when we went (last week of July), so we ended up going to a nice beach nearby (20 min drive). Overall, this was a great place for our family vacation and we would definitely recommend it. The host was really responsive, which is always appreciated.

Enjoyed Sabattus Cottage
Great place with plenty of room for our 2 families. Cute little backyard that allowed us all to gather and play outdoor games, roomy enough inside for some of the rainy days we had to spread out and relax, pretty views of the lake at sunrise/sunset. Overall a good time had by all,

Beautiful and Cozy
This rental was as described. Clean and very cozy, lots of space and a beautiful view. The owner was very commutative. The biggest downfall that isn’t noted in the pictures is that the stairs to get to the house are very very steep and about two flights worth of stairs up. Not suitable for small children and older adults. I would love to visit in the summer!

Best lake house
Loved staying here, it was so quiet and remote while also super close to major cities with a lot of options. My family and I enjoyed fishing off the dock and the fire pit in the back yard. The house was fully stocked with plenty of games and items to keep us entertained and space for when it was time for bed. Couldn’t have picked a better spot for our mini vacation.

We enjoyed our stay in Sabbatus. House was clean and nicely set up for our family of 5 with plenty of room and some great nooks for the kids to explore (cool loft!). Mornings and evenings on the deck and back yard were lovely!
