“We stayed one night and planned to check in early as the info indicates check in btwn 12-15.30. We arrived at 13.30 and no one was answering the doorbell nor on the given phonenumber… Once we got in, the view is wonderful and backyard cozy. But be aware it is on the top of the city which means many steps and stairs to get there. And if you fancy a glass of wine in the bar the prices are high compare to other hotels (also mini bar is expensive). ”

We made reservations five months before we arrived and at that time we requested a room on a lower floor, knowing the topography of the town and that some rooms had many steps. My wife and I are not kids but when we arrived, after not being met at the train station as promised we had to carry our bags up about 75-100 steps to our room. I don’t speak Italian but we were able to communicate very well. They make you feel like you are their family. I felt so safe and if I am ever back in Sicily I would stay here again.
