Great location, close to many attractions. The property was clean but dated. We were surprised by the tight steep spiral staircase to get up to the apartment. Don't bring to many luggage if you are renting this place.

Perfect flat in one of the best neighborhoods in Rome
This flat was absolutely perfect for our group of five visiting Rome for a few days. It is located in the perfect neighborhood with so many shops, bars, restaurants, and attractions starting just steps from the door. Has all of the amenities you could want for what is likely going to be the limited time you want to spend indoors for your stay.

The neighborhood is fantastic and the apartment is walking distance to just about everything we wanted to see. We had plenty of room for a family of four and the check in process was seamless. We will definitely come back!

Incredible location
Without doubt, the best thing about the Fico Blu apartment is its location, which is amazing - especially at the price: right in the heart of the historic centre of Rome and walking distance to almost all the major attractions. Great restaurants, gelaterias and nightlife right on the doorstep, yet the apartment itself is quiet. We had a great stay at the apartment. Fabrizio and Umer were very helpful prior to our arrival and during the check in/check out processes. Despite the crazy heatwave engulfing the city during our stay, the air conditioning throughout the apartment was effective and we stayed comfortable. A minor gripe was that the floors could've used a mop, and some of the dishes/cutlery had bits of dried food stuck to them. Also, be aware that if bringing a car, you'll need to leave it at a parking lot outside of the historic center and bring your luggage to the apartment on foot or by taxi - the Via Giulia Parking Lot is around a 10 minute walk away and EUR38 per day.

Location..location..location
Fabrizio was great. Easy to communicate with. Arranged transport from the airport. Met representative at the appartment and received keys, instructions and tips about local restaurants. Location is amazing. Most historic sites within a short walk. Right between Vatican and Pantheon/Navona/Trevi… huge plus is a Taxi stand a block away, for those who want to limit walking to sites a bit further away, like Colloseum/Forum. Great overall

Cozy Rome apartment
Location was central which was nice and i loved that there were some healthier restaurants (that had vegan/vegetarian food) very close. Our stay was fine so it wasn't a bad experience. I just think the listing description needs to be updated as we relied upon it in making our choice to stay. It was listed as 4 bedrooms though and it had 3 plus a pull out couch in the main area where the kitchen was. And to get to the apartment, it was a very narrow spiral staircase up a couple flights and with heavy luggage, it was very difficult. And to get out of the apartment, you had to use a key - what if there was a fire? That may be something folks are used to in Europe but it was not comfortable if a family is staying there and a couple people want to go out taking the keys when you needed a key to get out of the building. The beds were also hard as a rock. I was able to sleep because i took a thick comforter and folded it twice and slept on that. I know beds tend to be harder in Europe so some folks won't mind, but i would not have slept were it not for that comforter. I was also told by the owner that we could store luggage 2 months prior as we were arriving early. I checked back on that as we were boarding our flight to Rome and i was referred to a property manager who told me we could not store luggage. So the mixup between the owner and the property manager had us scrambling. I will say that they helped us to find nearby luggage storage so it was fine.

Spacious two bathroom apartment
Location enables walking to fruit market, grocery stores, restaurants. Even better is nearness of Paintings inside three cathedrals. A quiet street perfect for getting to the classic tourist sites. A good place for five fit adults to relax, cook, eat, sleep, tourist shop and take tourist photos. Has a good property manager.

Family stay in Italy
This apartment is located in the heart of Rome and is close walking distance to many things, the main reason we booked here: Pros: - Close to countless restaurants, cafes, and shops. - Enough space for our family of five, although admittedly the apartment was smaller than expected, but everything was fine. - Washing machine allowed us to pack lighter on trip from the States. Cons: - some items within the apartment could use some attention. The couch had seen better days. The air conditioner units could use a cleaning - discharged some soot when in use. - the apartment certainly met our family's needs, but know this is a fairly bare bones apartment... not much in the way of bedroom storage, bedroom end tables, etc. Overall a good trip for us and the apartment served as a good home base.

Charming, Comfortable and Perfect Location!
This apartment is perfectly located down a quiet lane adjacent to bustling streets filled with restaurants, trattorias and shops. Maybe 150 meters to Piazza Navona without any of the tourist crush or noise. Individual A/C units in the main rooms kept it nice and cold for some of the best sleep we got in Italy. The kitchen is well appointed and the full size refrigerator and freezer very handy. We even managed to find bags of ice at the Carrefour around the corner - a very exciting event for Americans traveling in Europe! Icy apartment cocktails! The apartment is beautifully styled, with peaks of exposed stone and wood beam ceilings. Modern amenities and aesthetic with full appreciation of its age and history. Communication with Fabrizio was great (use WhatsApp vs text) and after a delay due to a long cab line Domitilla was right there at the entry door waiting for us. Check in and check out both easy and straightforward. The ride Fabrizio arranged to the airport was sooo much easier and quicker than taking the train and Annalisa was so much fun to talk to during the ride. All in all, this is EXACTLY what you’re looking for in a VRBO - location, comfort, price, charm and amenities. We will 100% return here for our next visit to Rome.

The check in process was very easy and great communication - helping organizing transportation to/from the airport. Walking distance to the trevi fountain and the Pantheon. The apartment is in a lively area so close to restaurants and bars.

Couldn’t have been better
If you want to be in the absolute center of downtown Roma in a clean, comfortable and very reasonably priced location this is for you. The property is exactly as depicted in the listing if not better. Check in process was seamless and our host even arranged for transportation from the airport with private driver waiting at our gate for a cost comparable to a taxi. Fantastic WiFi available and zero power issues during our time. Fabrizio was very quick to respond to any questions including suggestions for transport from the unit to Termini station at departure. Great access to 2 super markets for any thing you might need during your stay. Tons of restaurants, bars and delicious gelato steps from the front door. A truly fantastic experience.

Excellent Stay - perfect VRBO location for Rome
It was just exactly as described on the website. It is a perfect location to see all of the sites and attractions of Rome. Communication with Fabrízio was a breeze. He also organized transportation to and from the airport as well as to the port. The apartment was clean and comfortable and contemporary looking. The showers were great water pressure as well. The stairs to go up were winding and steep, but it was all part of the experience, and we managed with our suitcases.

We just left Rome, and we loved this place. Great location, and an ever better neighborhood. There are amazing restaurants steps for the door, in almost every direction. My only complaint is that the city lights on the street are not working, so its quite dark, other than that - its the perfect place

Location! Location! Location!
Everything about this stay was perfect. There were 6 of us, 2 adults and our 4 kids 17+. The location was perfect and safe. We walked everywhere we needed to go, the only taxi's we took were to and from the airport. There were great restaurants, grocery stores and shops close by. The building was secure with a keyed entry door and a keyed gate. The 2 flights of stairs are spiral and narrow. We stayed the first week of July and the A/C was amazing. The front bedroom could hear restaurants and music at night but we had a portable noise machine that fixed that. The check-in was easy and the description of the VRBO was accurate. I would recommend this to everyone staying in Rome.

Great location near Piazza Navona
The location of the apartment is excellent. We were able to walk many places directly from the apartment, like the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, etc. it was extremely hot so we did take taxis to the Colosseum and the Vatican, and to Roma Termini when we left Rome. There are taxi stands at either end of Piazza Navona so it’s a pretty easy walk even with reasonable luggage. There are several small grocery stores a 2-3 min walk from the apartment, and many restaurants within 10 minutes walk (and many more a bit further). As other reviews have said, you do need to climb up a very narrow winding stone staircase. This didn’t bother us at all, but if you have larger bags or problems on stairs it could be challenging. The layout of the apartment is good, but there is one thing to watch out for. The small bedroom doesn’t have a traditional twin bed, but is more like a cot with a 3 piece mattress. This probably works well for a small child, but was quite difficult for our 16 yr old daughter to sleep on. A simple upgrade of that bed would make the bedroom much more usable. The only other challenge is that the kitchen was a bit poorly equipped. Bowls but no plates, only one small pot.

Great location in Rome
This flat was very convenient to stay in. The location was great! The middle bedroom only had a cot so maybe not the most comfortable for an adult. The stairs are no joke, but we knew ahead of time and managed fine. Overall we enjoyed our stay and loved the location.
