It’s shockingly clean given that it’s largely an indoor/outdoor type of stay arrangement. Clean outdoor bathrooms and showers. Plenty of hot and cold running water. Soap, towels, you name it. “The casita is a tidy independent unit within the main residence. Nice location on a high spot at the edge of Rio Rancho with open desert to the west and terrific views of the Sandias to the east. Despite the remote-feeling setting, it’s convenient to major arteries into Albuquerque or Santa Fe. Bernie and Mike are excellent, friendly hosts and good communicators. “The house can sleep 10, but is ill equipped for even 5 adults. We have stayed at many VRBOs and this one just did not deliver. 1. The internet was spotty when it worked. With 5 adults, staying for 7 days, we expected our phones and computers to be able to connect to the internet. To be fair, the owner did get it fixed 3 days into our stay. However, the only way to contact him was through email which proved very difficult since we didn't have internet and the area is in a spotty location. 2. The...

“I live in Albuquerque and I took the day off so that I could come to Sunny mellow and decompress. The hosts are both very gracious and kind. I ate fruit from their orchard, walked in the woods all day, and watched a thunder and lightning storm. It was perfect. Thank you Greg and Robbie!”
