“Everything was very nice, with overall northwoods/log lodge vibe throughout the exterior and public areas of the hotel. The pool was well maintained, but the sauna control panel was heavily used/abused and difficult to operate. Our main complaint was that Wi-fi is very flaky. ”

“Property is a newly remodeled small home bordering a wilerness "zoo". The backyard gives you large access to the white tale deer which is very nice. Everything you would need is located in the home and outside for a fun trip. You are within walking distance to a bar and grill also. Located just outside the city of Hayward. The only things that we didn’t like: bathroom is very tiny and the tap water smells and tastes of what I assume is sulpher. Owner does leave an unopened gallon of bottled...

“We loved staying in the woods and so close to the Lake. Very quiet. The bathroom was just a little small but very clean and comfortable cabin. We would definitely come back again ”

“I was unfortunately unable to utilize my reservation to an illness to a member of the party I was going to be visiting during my stay so I had to cancel the trip. I contacted Matthew to notify him that his housekeeping crew would not need to clean the cabin after my presumed stay and he was kind enough to refund the cleaning fee from my rental. It was much appreciated!”

“The owner was was very kind, friendly, and accommodating and had a cute gift shop. She also made a wonderful breakfast that started out with a baked apple! The yard and house were decorated very nicely for the holidays, complete with music to add to the ambiance. The room had everything we needed and included an amazing copper bath tub that was wonderful to soak in. Overall it was a great place to sleep and relax with much more character than a hotel room could ever have. ”

“My stay in cabin 2 was great. Spent our time fishing and exploring the area. Be aware the water level is low this time of year. I would recommend this resort to a friend. ”

“This is an older resort that is being renovated. Our cabin was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The TV was tiny, but viewable from the placement of the seating. The docks were 4 feet out of the water and unusable, but Mark corrected this almost immediately. Lake access is good and the deeper water main lake are is about a 5 minute cruise. Musky Joes is a nice stay for a fishing vacation at a very reasonable cost. Robin’s Nest is a great breakfast cafe and is only about 2 miles away....

“The setting was magnificently picturesque. Loons calling, deer roaming and squirrels bustling all around. The room was small but cozy, however calling it a condominium was a stretch of the imagination. It is a basic motel room with a dorm fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Convenient but not conducive for staying more than one or two nights at most. I would stay again, but only for a short period - not a week again. ”

“The house was amazing, the front room with the wood burning fireplace was perfect for our twin one-year old girls to play and be secure. Our older girls loved the bunk beds, and on the rainy Saturday night we curled up to watch a movie the front room . The neighborhood is quiet and the sunsets are amazing. Definitely a place to go back too. ”

“Husband and i stayed here for a quick weekend getaway following a year of fighting cancer. This small town cabin was cute and clean! Plenty of bars, shopping and restaurants within walking distance. ”
