“Loved the quirky decor and the coziness. I slept like the dead when I stayed here. It was awesome.”

“The owner or manager was quite accommodating with early checkin for our luggage and let us use her mini refrigerator. She was very friendly and gave us a tour of this 1889 home. She made a delicious breakfast accommodating my gluten and dairy intolerance. The bed and room were totally comfortable! The only drawbacks were sharing the bathroom with the three other rooms making six people using the one bathroom. A water filter is also needed for the brown water.”

“Black Bear Lodge is the perfect place to lay your head at night after a long day of hiking and outdoor adventures! The host was very kind as she provided light breakfast each morning (fruit, tea, coffee, muffins, croissants, bottled water), and checked in with us to make sure our stay was going well. I would definitely stay here again when I am in the area!”

“An amazing inn. Well designed and comfortable. Totally new. Feels like home away from home. Natalie and Aldo are outstanding hosts, kind and generous. There is a fire ring for s'mores and plenty of space for kids to run around. We will definitely be back. ”

“First thing notice was the sulfur smell from the local water source from the bathrooms but very clean and well kept. Staff and owner are friendly and attentive. Would remocommend ”

“I would totally recommend! It was a very practical apartment. I stayed with my spouse and my parents. The location was great, the manager was very arranging with the check-in time, and we really appreciated that we had two floors and two full bathrooms, one for my parents, and one for me and my spouse. Wish we had stayed longer to take advantage of the nice balcony”

“Came to do some hiking with some friends. Central location if you are looking to do the fire towers! House as described, though with an older home, the doors are a little wonky. Kitchen pretty well supplied, could use a pasta pot and regular frying pans (there is a cast iron pan). The crock pot was a plus! Nice Solo Stove out back - we were lucky with the weather and had a nice cocktail hour outside!”

“All you need for a relaxing reprise. In the middle of nowhere which I love. I had my morning coffee's (5 cups) in the meadow/lawn looking out over nature with the silence of gentle noisy nature. * * * * * * * * * * 10 Stars LOL - Actually, it sucked LOL (I want to make sure it doesn't get booked when we want to go again)”
