It was a terriable experience.There were bugs in that room.In the morning my wife saw the bug which climbed to her arm.she got bitten in arm,chest,leg and waist.it was bloody.we asked half of the price back.but they refused.It is totally low and respectless. It was noisy outside.The room smelled moldy and strange.the carpet and toilet were dirty.We darenot speak in the room.because we can hear clearly the couple speaking in another room.There was no breakfast...

“Extremely surprised to find this hidden gem of a hotel. Cited above an old pub oozing with character and history - nothing is level or plumb as was the original way of building - I bet the walls could tell some stories. Very clean and comfortable, warm and cozy. Prices good for town centre including breakfast which was also excellent.”

“Great stay, all staff were very friendly. This place is super dog friendly (I actually think nearly everyone in the building had a dog) During our evening meal one item on the menu was not quite right and they quickly sorted it out for us. The food was delicious too, including breakfast. The room was spotless and a lovely view across the valley.”

“What a beautiful location. When my wife and i woke up in the morning, we watched the sunrise over the Dales. The same for breakfast as the dining room has ceiling high windows overlooking the cows and sheep grazing in the fields. The rooms are nice, clean, and quiet, and the beds are comfy. We quickly became friends with some of the other guests. The bottom line is that we had a wonderful time there. We highly recommend Throstle Nest Farm. ”

“Absolutely 5*, we stayed in the oasis suite and from the second we walked through the door - tranquil music playing , jungle relaxing vibes , perfect lighting we knew it was going to be an amazing couple of days. Decor is so beautiful, the bathroom - bath with a telly and surround sound just topped it off, biggest comfiest bed I’ve slept in and the hot tub on the terrace was fantastic, every single detail that has gone into making this room what it is and it doesn’t go unnoticed, we loved our 2...

“The Stirk House is an absolutely beauty. It’s located in a picturesque setting surrounded by fields and sheep. If you want a low key, peaceful country setting with an amazing staff and restaurant, you found it! We loved staying here and definitely plan to come back. Lots of room to roam, walking paths and countryside roads to explore. Also, plenty of free parking was very nice. 10 / 10”
