“We stayed 5 nights at Hotel Margarita. We had them (Alberto) book our tours and found that if you pay cash (dollars or colones) you save some money on your tours. We did the snorkeling (well worth the money!) - 4 different snorkeling stops, an island stop and a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant. “Consider this more of a rustic camping-like experience. Cabins have screens, but bugs still come in. Incredible location! Spider monkeys were swinging above our cabin every morning, holwers start up at day break, and capuchins befriended us at the beach. Scarlett macawas everywhere, we saw them constantly, as well as toucans. The beach immediately out front is wavy and rough, but my kids still jumped in the waves daily. The highlight is San Josecito beach, a 17 minute walk along the ocean....

“Jinetes de Osa is a nice place, run by nice folks. The rooms are spacious and clean. Ours had 4 beds. The room had bars of soap, but no shampoo, conditioner or other amenities. However the biggest miss was knowledge that there are 270 steps to climb to get to the room. The view was spectacular, The restaurant, a separate business, was very good. We booked a tour through the hotel and were very glad we did, we arrived at Corcovado earlier than everyone else and Rolando was the best guide. He was...
