“I lived in Patan, Nepal in 2006 and have returned several times to reconnect with my "Nepali Family" and the one of kind culture of the Kathmandu Valley. The Inn Patan is a treasured restoration of a traditional Newari home, and is a moments walk to Patan's Durbar Square. The property is extremely quiet, the on-site restaurant is excellent, and the staff are consistently wonderful and accommodating. “The room was old and looked different from the impression given by the photos. However, it was well cleaned. The gas stove in the kitchen had very weak flames, and the microwave was broken. Some rooms had a musty smell or even smelled like a toilet. The location was good, with everything necessary for daily life within walking distance, making it suitable for a long-term stay. The staff were very kind. However, I found the price to be disproportionately high. I paid around 11,000~12,000 rupees...

My host Shekhar and his family invited me for breakfast and dinner daily and since I traveled by myself I could learn about Nepal and local culture. Shekhar and his daughter took me around Katmandu to learn about history and tempels. I can give best recommendations for his resort for anyone who look for a less busy place then the crowded center of Katmandu”
