Myself and 6 friends recently stayed at Camp Whynot for our annual snowmobiling vacation and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home.
Three separate floors of living space provided plenty of room for all seven of us. Each floor had it's own bathroom, with showers, which was very nice. There were 5 beds, and 2 futons, which provided everyone in our group with their own comfortable bed to sleep on. The main living area was big enough for everyone to relax after a day of riding. There was a leaf that we were able to install into the dining room table to allow for all of us to eat together.
The house was very easy to access, which in the winter time with unpredictable weather and trailers to pull, was a nice bonus. Plus the driveway had plenty of room for parking multiple trucks and sled trailers.
The house was conveniently located just up the street from downtown Rangeley, and all the shops, hardware store, dealerships, and the IGA for all of our shopping needs.
To access the main trail system did require us to navigate through a combination of roads, and boondocking through the woods. There are directions on the fridge that were very clear and easy to understand and after navigating that path a couple of times, you can easily remember your way to and from the house to the trail, but it does take a little while to get onto the main trail, which for us that was not an issue at all.
Overall this house was great and had everything we needed for a great week of riding, relaxing, and breath taking views of Rangeley Lake. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, and will definitely be staying here again on future trips.
The staff at Morton and Furbish were amazing to work with and very responsive to our questions and needs leading up to the trip. They also provided us a ton of useful information ahead of time so we were felt we were well prepared for our stay, and how to make the most of the time we had in Rangeley!
