A very beautiful resort, the food was above most resorts we have stayed at….we liked it very much. Our problem was the daily towel game to ‘reserve’ pool chairs. We have a couple timeshares that police this chair saving to 1 hour and then towels are removed. We didnt have any prob at the beach but we went by 8:30am. We are older and wont be waking up at 5:30am to stake our claim to a pool chair. There are other pools in 18 areas that looked empty when we saw them but they came with an added expense. A very nice resort, definately make plans to dine at La Boheme and the Gondola, they were our favs.

Loved the beach and the property itself and design. Great hospitality in general but especially at F&B outlets not so much at reception. Best restaurant experiences at the Beach club, other themed restaurants are a bit average, not much themed. Minibar was not cooling and was never changed or fixed.

The property was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were very clean and newly decorated. The buffet was good, but it would be helpful if all guests were sprayed with sanitizer on their hands before touching the utensils. At times, people are very pushy in the buffet as well. We had issues finding lounge chairs at the pool and there may need to be a policy in place where people cannot reserve lounge chairs, literally all day. All the staff was wonderful, the drinks were great, and the special restaurant we went to one night had excellent food, but the wait was incredibly long. We waited an hour to get two drinks and it took a total of two hours before we got our food. The shows were incredible. Their performances were impressive and we enjoyed the karaoke night as well. It was a bit confusing where we could go with the adult only bracelets versus the unique experience. It was nice that no one forced up sells throughout our trip like some other resort locations do. Overall, it was an awesome vacation and we hope to return soon.

This property is absolutely beautiful and kept so clean. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The buffet needs improvement- more variety, the food needs to be kept hotter and some things can be served instead of asking customers to line up and get it prepared on the spot. We all had a great time and would definitely come back again.

Hotel was OK. Better than I expected. Foods and restaurants are OK. Hotel Staff very kind and nice. Very good service.

We just returned from our stay at Lopesan, and overall, we had a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was incredibly calming, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The customer service was top-notch—every staff member was kind, attentive, and always willing to help. The resort had everything you could need for both kids and adults, from great pools and activities to entertainment and relaxing spots. It was so convenient to have everything in one place, and we never felt like we were missing anything. The only downside was the food, which didn’t quite meet our expectations. While the resort itself was amazing, we feel there’s room for improvement in the dining options. That being said, we still had a great time and would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-equipped getaway!

The resort itself was gorgeous, rooms were clean and spacious, huge balcony which was also really nice with a day bed that was very cozy, a nespresso machine in the room too which I loved, frosted doors on shower and bathroom so very little privacy but it did have plenty of storage. This place is very big (over 1000 rooms) so you do a lot of walking which is fine but if you’re staying in an oceanview room they’re the furthest from the boulevard and waterpark which is the complete opposite end of the resort. Main pool was huge and lots of seating but you need to get up early to get good chairs, no swim up bar which was disappointing and no pool side grill so if you wanted a bite to eat in the afternoon you had to go to a buffet. There were servers walking around getting you drinks but that tended to be pretty slow. Not a lot of entertainment but music playing at the pool and there was a dj for like an hour each night. The shows were after 10pm each night so we never made it to those and they were in the boulevard so very far from our room. Drinks were very inconsistent and we struggled a lot finding a good one. Food was decent..the main buffet was good, big and lots of options, beach buffet was pretty good too, ala carte restaurants had a pretty small menu but we were able to always find something but picky eaters will have a hard time. We loved the juice bar! Beach was big and lots of seating but there are boats parked out front so you could smell fuel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lopesan Costa Bávaro, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. The hotel itself is a stunning piece of architecture, with beautiful landscapes and a serene atmosphere that immediately puts you in vacation mode. The service throughout the resort was impeccable, particularly in the buffet and various restaurants. One standout was Christopher Gonzalez, who was doing great ice cream rolls—such a fun and delicious treat! The staff was not only friendly but also incredibly accommodating, making sure that every meal was enjoyable. Additionally, another gentleman at the front desk, who spoke four or five languages, was exceptionally nice and helpful, enhancing our overall experience. However, I did have a negative encounter with Jose Alicia, who was in charge of the Bali beds at the pool. He was quite rude and even threatened to call security on us, despite the fact that it was our first day and we hadn’t done anything wrong. We had simply placed our belongings on a Bali bed because all other sunbeds were occupied. His approach could have been more polite, as there are definitely better ways to interact with guests than resorting to threats. This incident left my daughter feeling very scared, which was unfortunate and overshadowed the otherwise pleasant atmosphere. On a positive note, the food was consistently great, offering a wide variety of options that catered to different taste

BEWARE! STAY AWAY from Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort if you are going with a family. Even if you are a couple, their systems are terrible. Check in was a nightmare, and they were NOT able to accept our booking through Expedia due to their system not having the child information through Expedia. Our booking clearly advertised and was correctly filled out with my and my wife & child’s information. Upon arriving, we waited over an hour to be helped to check in, only to be rudely told we had to pay additonal as they did NOT honor the package and price for which we booked months in advance for our stay in February 2025. I was surprised at the level of treatment and capabilities of management and the service staff at the reception area. The reception area is unorganized with multiple people trying to figure out how to check guests in. When asked for a a manager to assist, they are extremely rude and again even the management is not professional. After waiting half a day and missing out on the resort amenities, we had to pay more or we would be escorted out by security. They advertise through Expedia and other websites and do not have systems nor staff that has capabilities to successfully check in guests. Reception staff & Managers were HOSTILE, while I was polite. Not even willing to call Expedia to verify information, which I did. Even then, would not accept proof of my booking showing the information including a child. They did not honor the room upgrade either.

My husband and I recently stayed at Lopesan for a week. We've previously been to 2 other all-inclusives, so some things were highly disappointing in comparison to our past resort experiences. The most disappointing, the staff. While there were a select few that were friendly and happy to help, most staff came across with an attitude and made us feel like an inconvenience. Another bummer was the service. They did not always follow through with our requests and we had to ask multiple times for things. (Housekeeping didn't restock our washcloths unless we specifically asked). Something else that bothered us were the tiny plastic cups they served the drinks in. With a paper straw. On top of that, the drinks were VERY weak. Our last complaint is the 1 towel per person policy. Some days they were out of towels so we had nothing for a couple hours. Be aware to book your dinner reservations a couple days ahead as they fill up quick. Another note, the night shows were SO LOUD. We are literally in our 20s and wore air pods as ear plugs, otherwise our ears would be ringing by the end. I will finish the review with the positives! It is a very well maintained property! Very big and a lot of walking, but we kind of enjoyed that. The coffee shop was so cute and a nice place to hang out. The gym was awesome, lots of equipment! Majority of the food we were impressed with. (Be sure to stop by the juice stand and get the fresh passion fruit juice!) Overall, it was good, but wouldn't go back.

The Resort is beautiful with friendly staff and lots of space. We rented the walk out pool and it was great. We did stated at adult only check in which we paid more for the stay that we were celebrating not only Valentines Day but our Wedding Anniversary. We were promised and included with our VIP a bottle to the room and also strawberries and we never received anything to our room. On our check out day we told the same person that stated we will be receiving to our rooms the mentioned things that we never received anything, and he did not bother to apologize or say it was a mistake by them. He just stated that he will make a note of it.

Really love this resort, it is so pretty. The buffet was average was able to find something to eat at all times. The beach is clean the rooms are gorgeous and comfortable as is the whole resort. I am very happy with our stay.
