We loved the location- you can not beat this- close to the train station, the tower of Pisa, great shopping, great coffee and restaurants, provided ample fans, dishwasher,
However when we entered the property, a woman from the fourth floor came out of her place to chide us about the elevator doors, they must be shut or the elevator will not work for anyone, since we had not used the elevator as yet, we could only assume that she was tired of visitors coming in and out of the property and she was obviously a resident there. Then when we entered the apt, the smell was a bit overwhelming. Not sure but it could be just an old building in an old area with old pipes. We went to get some baking soda and put this throughout the apt and opened windows. The apt itself looked like a tired version of the photos. It was clean but a bit shabby. Generally, I have found that some properties have staged their photos for rental and then once you have paid and get there, it is not like the photos. If it were me, I would replace some of the furniture- living room, and put some nice dishes, cutlery etc. (What was there was functional but looked like it came from the thrift store). Also the shower with the bathtub only had great pressure but we were not sure it was a "wet room" shower so we tried to keep water confined to the tub but without much success. A surround would help.
It coulde a great place if it upped its game. As it is I would stay in the area again but not at this location.
