“Perfect stay!”

“I was overall happy with my stay at the Fairmont FKL, with one very important exception (listed under cons below). Pros: Close to the gondola, has a nice spa and decent gym. Mostly friendly staff. Spacious rooms. Okay level of cleanliness. Cons: Rooms do NOT look like they do in the hotel photos, they are dated and in need of a renovation. Rooms also have no AC which was almost unbearable during hot summer days. The worst con of them all is, however, that I was contacted after my stay because...

“This property is older than some, but very well maintained. The grounds are beautiful and the fact that it is right by the river is an added bonus. The sitting area outside by the river with the hot tub is peaceful and relaxing. The hairdryer in my room did not work, and there was no soap in the shower. Also, the TV was very confusing to operate. In spite of these things I loved staying there and would again.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Two bedrooms were perfect- front room was like a parlor and my friend loved it. Really like the heating system as I could keep my room cool and my friend kept hers warmer. Great location for the hiking we did- next time we’ll rent jeeps 😎 . Our host Mark was great and quick to respond. We were ‘in’ town, so able to walk to shops and restaurant (great history lesson from gal at front desk of the Grand Imperial hotel. Food at Lacey Rose saloon was excellent)....
