I would recommend taking an Uber to downtown if you go there. Driving in the city is not for the faint of heart, but Ubers cost us only 3-5 one way. I would recommend this place without hesitation.”

“This historic building within the old town is beautifully redesigned, exactly as pictured with a high ceiling and old stonework. The balcony view of the street and the hill overlooking the city makes morning coffee a pure delight. A fully functional kitchen and laundry (in the building, not the apartment) makes this property terrific for guests wanting a longer stay. Panama’s oldest church, a little grocery store with pharmacy and the prettiest plaza are steps away. The hosts are responsive...

“This is a beautiful, well equipped property. Excellent location right on the square in Casco Viejo. So clean and bright! Balcony space, lovely shower in the bathroom. Washer and dryer in room! Very classy and comfortable! The coffee shop downstairs is also excellent and has a super friendly staff. ”

Safe neighborhood - grocery and good restaurants very close (have to try Maito!) and the Ecuadorian place across the street. - The view is great looking across the coast Property Cons: The apartment itself, however, is very basic. Walls show wear, beds come with 2 flat sheets-no blanket or other sheet, kitchen is sparse on utensils-pot/pans (which if you eat out all the time is no big deal).
