“The rooms were newly renovated in a modern way and the wifi was the best seen in NZ yet (free wifi of course). Great bathroom and very clean. The staff was very helpful. Good pool and some nice sheeps nearbye.”

“Nice and friendly hostel. Was a bit concerned about noice as there were many young people living there but after 9 pm it was very silent. For us a bit elderly people it was very nice with all this young surfers living there. Could stay there again.”

“Loved the Archer House. Beautiful design, lovely gardens. Enjoyed breakfast and entire property was charming. Would help to. Latifa checkin time with property ahead of time because they were not on site between 2-7( we could not reach manager for checkin for 20 min.”

“Beautiful well thought out space. Can’t say enough about our suit and the owners. The location is right on the water with easy walking access to the beach and hiking trails. Our hosts Sandra and Doc were very accommodating and made us feel at home. The suit was like new fitted with high end modern appointments. The breakfast that they provided was just what we needed. Had we known how nice this place was we would have scheduled this in our plans for a few more days. ”

“I loved the quiet, the charm & character of the 1940s building, the collection of antique medical objets & historic local photos. It was cosy and a comfortable warmth thanks to the central radiator heating throughout. I was definitely not too hot in my room. Very clean & all the facilities that I needed - access to a large freezer & a bath was a welcome added bonus also. Lovely grounds. Very friendly, helpful & welcoming service from the manager Shontal.”
