“Located in a quiet residential area, but close enough to easily visit any beach at Point Lookout, we really enjoyed our stay at Starfish on Straddie. We were able to manage our small dog who probably had the best time ever, loving the dog-friendly beaches. A magical moment was also watching a koala walk down the footpath into a neighbours yard before disappearing into the trees; and the kangaroos are just a normal part of the scenery - where else can you experience Australian wildlife like that!”

“This is a really small house, tiny kitchen, no pantry, or dishwasher, laundry is outside in carport. So I would not stay for longer than a couple nights. Would be suitable for a family with younger children. Also the fenced yard is teeny tiny, and 4ft fences. I could not leave my dog unattended in there as she would jump that in 2 seconds flat, no space for her to run around either (German shepherd). Would be find for little dogs. Bathroom door wouldn’t lock. And only one tea towel...

“We really enjoyed our stay. Excellent beds. House was comfortable, homely and maintained to a high standard. Equipped with anything you’d need to self cater or stay longer than a week. The aircon worked well on the few chilly nights. Located in a quiet neighbourhood a short stroll from the water with beautiful bird life in and around the yard. Host Michaela was friendly, thoughtful and helpfully provided information about the island. We would happily stay again.”
