“We had a one night stay at this motel. The room was very comfortable and warm. It was just a shame there was no kettle or tea and coffee in the room. A bit of a pain having to walk around to the shared kitchen every time you wanted a drink. There was ample free parking and the room was quiet. The motel was pretty much in the centre of town and very walkable to everywhere. ”

“Utan tvekan ett utav dom bästa ställena vi bott på på vår tre veckor långa resa i NZ. Rummet känns lyxigt med bubbelbad och badsalt i badrummet. Riktigt skön säng och serviceminded personal, hon såg till att vi fick rummet tidigare än incheckningstiden eftersom vår åtta månaders dotter behövde sova lite. Ligger en bit från centrum men har man bil är det inga problem. Fanns en pärm med restaurangtips på rummet, uppskattas alltid.”

“Stayed in Waiheke room. I'd like to see a Microwave added to the rooms, especially for a 4 day stay like me. If a lot of guests, it can get a bit noisy. Edward was a great host. Allowed me to put my rubbish in the property bins and put my luggage in storage after check out so I could go out for a while. I'll come back if they put in a microwave.”

“We have stayed at the purple Hen before and enjoyed it then and again this time. We would definitely recommend it to family and friends, great atmosphere, very comfortable, superb surroundings, great facilities, and very ideal central location but in a rural setting ”

“Nice place, has everything you need for a stay. In a safe and quiet neighbourhood. Very close to New World/ Countdown for food shops. Brett at reception was very friendly and welcoming. Comfy beds. Showers take a little while to heat up so it felt like I was wasting water but the hot water came through eventually. Would definitely recommend Duck & Drakes! ”

Please check your spam folder so as not to miss it. You can enjoy a calm environment surrounded by NZ nature. A 4 km walk around the lake is recommended.”
