“I was lead to believe (from hotels.com presentation) I had a cabin with a private hot tub, and would therefore expect an en-suite. I had a double room with shared facilities, very poor accessible shower. Room was clean and fine for my needs. I didn’t read the fine print so had difficulty in gaining entry, but after numerous phone calls (answer phone messages) and a prolonged email chat, access was afforded. “A nice stay when in the area. The food is good, as are the team. I did hear some locals moaning about both, however that isn't my experience at all. The rooms are good, I had a different room this time and it's probably due for some tlc, however it was serviceable and the bed was comfy etc. The Bowl has a nice feel in a lovely location - it was a stunning evening to sit outside and dine whilst reading a book - with the bell ringing practise starting in the evening. ”

“Checkin was very friendly and helpful. Photos a bit misleading as kitchen area is shared between three rooms. Bathroom was pretty cold (studio room) and shower cubicle cosy/small with a general musty smell. Bed was comfortable but location on the main road meant it’s a noisy night if you’re a light sleeper. Continental breakfast was lovely with lots of choice.”

“This place is the definition of "don't judge a book by its cover". The outside makes you think about turning around and trying somewhere else! Don't... The staff are wonderful. The rooms are a very good standard for the price, and there's a very decent bar with Sky Sports, or hideaways if you prefer. The room had crisps and chocolates on display which I assumed we'd have to pay for. None of that. All complimentary! The view is "ok", assuming you get the even 400's. Looks like they're putting...
