“The property itself was very well kept, the rooms were nice, the staff were very friendly, and the food was tasty. The neighbor hood around the bed and breakfast was very run down with lots of vacant buildings which were boarded up and just overall not a very good neighborhood. ”

“The décor, cleanliness and friendly staff at the property are superb. As only the 2nd B&B I have ever stayed in, my observations are probably not the best to compare with. But it was very clean and fresh and that's a big plus. The breakfast wasn't over the top, but was good and got our day going. Sarah was very helpful and accommodating, very friendly and always had a smile.”

“This was our first time staying at Walnut Waters. It was an absolute pleasure to meet the owners and stay at such a relaxing and well-appointed venue. One of the best experiences was enjoying the beautiful scenery while relaxing on the pond. ”

“Everything can be great at a BNB but if the mattress is wrong…it doesn’t matter. High quality mattress and linens plus a great place made this wonderful. For the price, we had hoped for something more interesting than a cup of yogurt and crumble cake made from a box. Not really what I think of as a BNB, it was more of an awesome mansion and mattress with a continental breakfast. ”

“Everything was great!!! The breakfast was amazing and our hostess stayed to chat while we ate. The bed was very comfortable, but my favorite part of the stay were the towels. Wonderfully heavy and absorbent. The house was built in 1916 and has beautifully kept period wooden detailing and inlaid wooden doors.”

“This was our second stay and it was as great as the first. A most unique property that you can wander thru, it's like staying in a museum. The kitchen is amazingly well stocked with everything/anything you'd need for breakfast and snacks. Wonderful addition to the stay. Do yourself a favor, book a room here, book dinner at the JC Wyatt House 4 blocks away and spend the evening experiencing old school St Joe elegance.”

“This is the most amazing Bed and Breakfast! The hospitality, venue, food, luxurious commodities are endless! Highly recommended, a beautiful, peaceful refuge!”

“Everything went smooth at check-in… The only downside to the stay, was that the floors in the rooms were not mopped. But, the management was very cool about that mishap and agreed to give us a portion of our money back, even though we booked Hotels.com”

“On our way home, we decided to stop in Kansas City for the night and visit a few local attractions. We chose this apartment for an overnight stay, and it was amazing. Yes there are many stairs to climb, but once you have your luggage upstairs it was no big deal. And it was very easy to get to other attraction from this location. Next time I’m in Kansas City I definitely plan to stay here again.”

Not good enough

"Location is good. Rooms are big. Shower is fantastic and the products too. Blackout curtains very good. However for the number of stars the hotel have it’s a bit of a disappointment. Pillows were lumpy, other guests were rowdy at 2am 2 nights, feels like a party hotel. No stairs to reach your floor, you could only exit. Elevator often busy due to bar and resturant being on the top floor. AC not quiet. Doors slams when closing. "
