Overview
Villa Thalassa is located in Latchi, Paphos District. This detached
vacation rental property offers air-conditioning, Free Wi-Fi and sleeps
up to 6 people with 3 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms. There is a private pool

Layout

The villa is set on one floor and is enclosed by a beautiful garden
with private pool.
There are 2 double bedrooms (one with en suite shower room), 1 twin
bedroom, family bathroom, open plan lounge and a fully equipped
kitchen.

The living room is air-conditioned and has a ornamental fireplace,
dining area, comfortable sofas, DVD Player, Satellite TV and Free
Wi-Fi. There are patio doors to the pool terrace.

The kitchen features a toaster, coffee maker, granite work top, washing
machine, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, stove/hob and oven. There
is also a barbecue outside.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
If your party consists of a group where the average age is under 25
years of age, a refundable security deposit of 150 EU, per person, is
required, payable with the accommodation balance or six weeks before
arrival. Upon departure, the villa must be left clean and tidy and upon
inspection, the security deposit will be refunded minus any breakages
or additional cleaning required.

Schöner Aufenthalt in Meernähe

Disappointing
Our stay at Villa Thalassa was blighted by multiple power outages due to overloaded electrics in the villa. The power was also cut off by the electricity company at one point but was restored 2 hours later after a phone call and presumably someone paying a bill! Despite a visit from an electrician, the power cut out almost every day of an 8 day stay, up to 4 times a day, each time necessitating a walk to the sub-station along the road to reset the trip switches, which were hot to the touch. The villa wiring simply cannot cope with the load of normal use by a family. The property manager was quick to respond to problems, and was charming and apologetic, but the problem was not fixed and will plague future guests. We only managed it by curbing our electricity use. One power cut fried a bedroom air-conditioner. It was repaired the next day but we spent an uncomfortable night on the sofa. The villa is clean and spacious but unloved with a long snag list: missing basin plug, unsealed under-sink pipe so cockroaches can walk in, one smoke alarm stored in a drawer with no battery, green tide line around the pool that was not cleaned and stained our swimming costumes, rusty and broken clothes airer, torn outdoor seat cushions. The listing photos are out of date - there are curtain rails but no curtains, and no rugs, so the villa feels bare. There are zero basic supplies - no bin bags, dish cloth, washing up liquid, cleaning spray or even salt. I would NOT recommend this villa.

In need of TLC
This villa is in need of lots of TLC, damaged furniture, air con not working, mould in the bedroom, flaking and damp patches of paint. I need of a good paint, no home comforts the odd ornaments were all chipped and broken! Towels were clean but well used. Not worth the money, have stayed in far better! The pool and villa were clean but the upkeep wasn’t good.

Lovely Villa
We arrived and were very pleased with the property. It is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac and was very clean and nicely furnished with everything we needed and lots of space. Very close to beach, restaurants / harbour and shops a 15-20 minute walk. Communication was excellent and arrival instructions were easy to follow. Would definitely recommend.

Très jolie villa avec piscine
Très belle villa, bien située, chambres climatisées,à 5 minutes de la plage. Belle prestation. Le seul point négatif pour avoir la climatisation dans le séjour il faut rajouter 10€ par jour, pas très cool. Augmentez votre location de 70€ et voilà ! De plus j'ai appelé le gestionnaire pour la mise en route, il devait contacter le propriétaire, je n'ai jamais eu de nouvelle ? J'y suis resté 15 jours.

So nearly a 5 star review.
Good location, excellent layout of the villa and grounds, great pool, generally very strong air con, very comfortable overall. The only downside is a lack of maintenance, which I guess is somewhat understandable given recent times, but the electrics tripping frequently when you are cooking, and at the local substation down the road rather than in the villa, is too much to overlook. Therefore, so close to a 5 star review and if it went through a maintenance overhaul, we would definitely recommend it.

Lovely relaxing stay
We arrived at the villa at 2am after a long journey and the key code for the house keys worked first time, no issues at all. Everything was explained in the check in email that was sent. We did have an issue with several sockets not working, after emailing about this, later the same day 2 adaptors were left on the outside table as we weren’t in. The actual sockets that didn’t work was never resolved. The main bedroom bed has a really hard mattress making sleep for me quite uncomfortable as I have severe arthritis, that said, it is not a double bed, more like a king size 👍🏻. Kitchen was adequate apart from a wine bottle opener (a necessity lol) which we had to purchase and have left in the cutlery drawer. Scissors could do with replacing as we found them really blunt. There were no batteries in the remote for the satellite TV or the DVD player so technically, satellite TV was not provided. I liked the ramp up to the main door as I hired a mobility scooter and this made it so easy getting in and out ! The pool is divine! With my limited mobility I found getting in and out quite easy as the steps are gripped and wide, though I must add, I think you need to re measure the deep end as it is way deeper than 1.6m, I’m 1.7 m and I could nowhere near touch the bottom. I didn’t venture up to the rooftop terrace due to the stairs involved but my family did and said it was a really nice setting. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay at Villa Thalassa in Latchi and would recommend it
