“Such a unique gem, it will delight you in so many ways. Pictures are accurate - even better when you see it. Beds are comfy, decor is uplifting and beautifully done. My sister and I wanted to take my Mom away for a special treat for a weekend and she said she felt like she was whisked away for a magical week. Many restaurants are closed off season; we went to Island Kitchen 2x - fantastic! Could’ve easily shopped and cooked, but nah! Although it is walking distance to everything, mom’s mobility...

“This is our second year staying here (see my previous review from August 2023) and we loved it as much as we did last year: easy, relaxed, comfortable, great location. One thing I’d mention is that there are no smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors in the house (which they say in the listing, it wasn’t a surprise), so if that is something that is important to you, I would recommend bringing your own. “We LOVED our stay! The house has so much character and is so beautifully decorated!! The kids loved searching for the secret door to the master bedroom! If the owners wouldnt have mentioned this prior, we may have been confused finding the third bedroom, as well! They also loved the swing on the tree out front. “I stayed here with a small group of friends/family, and we had the most amazing time! The location provides privacy, relaxation, and is the perfect distance from town. The home is gorgeous, very clean, and stocked with everything you could need. The wrap around porches and large backyard was perfect for soaking up sunshine or reading a book. Mark’s hands down one of the best hosts. Mark was very responsive, super flexible, incredibly friendly, and provided some awesome Nantucket recommendations....

“We had a great stay at Cynthia’s house this summer. The location is excellent as it’s a short drive to most beaches and it’s a less than a mile walk into town, which was doable for my elementary aged kids. The house was very clean, beautiful and comfortable. It was perfect for our family. ”

“Madequecham is a wonderful place. Vacasa did a nice job getting the house clean and ready. The bedrooms are a little bit musty, but they got better with open windows and doors. The house is updated in some areas, but not all. The mattresses were really hard and not very comfortable.. It’s a very nice property, but not quite a five star”

“The guest house at Blue Crab is charming, inviting, and the perfect place to stay for a real Nantucket experience. The open kitchen area allows for comfortable down time, the sunny views and sweet backyard patio provide an "escape" feel, but the best part is the perfect location. Just a straight, easy mile walk into town for shopping and action, allows you to have best of both worlds...it's just a sweet and charming as the pictures show. This one's the real deal!”

“We found this property to be appropriately comfortable and well- laid out overall for our stay with two babies and our dogs. It is not a very fancy location or property, but served our needs well to spend time on our favorite island. The residential neighborhood is fairly noisy. I did appreciate the host’s communication and understanding for two potential issues- one huge one being a date change and then change back due to ferry car reservations. We did find that the other half of the property...
