“Such a great deal if you want a home base for a skiing or hiking trip. They have wonderful homemade food for breakfasts, included in your stay. The cabins with the hot tubs are well worth it for after skiing in winter and the kitchens are great for making your own food. The setting is in between, it’s a little too far for walking into town and not far out enough to be really in nature. But as I said it’s a great deal for a home base. ”

“We came for a hockey tournament in Winthrop. The motel was adequate for my teen daughter and myself. Walls were very thin and it is definitely a little dated. The managers were kind and accommodating. We would come again! ”

“Staff was very polite and nice, but we had paid in advance with hotels.com 3 months earlier - and were charged again when checked in, Howard’s hotel said they couldn't help our situation, (since they had changed or updated their computer system) and it didn’t show where we had paid.. but hotels.com contacted them and we were reimbursed so all turned out well. ”

“Very serene, beautiful setting. Just didn't work well for me not to have running water. For the rather high price of lodging, I wanted a little bit of luxury. Would be perfect for someone who prefers accommodations that are a bit more rustic. ”

“Mazama is west of Winthrop in Washington state. It is BEAUTIFUL! The mazama pub is excellent! There are miles and miles of amazing trails to hike, ride, cross country ski, fat bike, etc. We loved the location of the cabin. It suited our needs, and we'd stay there again. ”
