“Ett trevligt hotell som ligger mitt i vindistriktet. Rummet var bra och poolen fin. Hotellet har en fantastisk frukostbuffé och även baren hade bra mat på kvällen men tyvärr var servicen inte den bästa. Vi önskade dricka 2 glas av ett vin men de ville inte öppna en ny flaska, trots att det stod att man kunde beställa glas.”

“A fantastic location with plenty of activities to keep kids, young and old, occupied. The staff are excellent, really welcoming and make you feel right at home. The view from 4 pines is amazing and definitely a must do for dinner and sunset! The rooms are very spacious and clean, if a little tired but it adds to the rustic charm. Parking is plentiful. Wish I had stayed longer!”

“Beautiful place with spacious well appointed suites. The food was amazing! Close to all the top spots in The Hunter. Our only disappointment was that the amazing hospitality stops at check out time, no ability to organise a late check out and when we wanted to ride their complementary bikes after check out for the afternoon we were told there would be a $100 charge (they did give us one hour for free though) For the price of this accommodation those little extra value adds would have made the...

“Spicer’s guesthouse was lovely, with modern and comfortable rooms and the grounds were very pretty, with manicured gardens and wild kangaroos watching from a distance. The staff were friendly but maybe not always as attentive as they could have been. Given the guesthouse is the premium hotel of the Hunter Valley and was quite expensive I’m just uncertain as to what exactly we paid for. I think if you’re going to have a premium price you should be able to justify it in some way by distinguishing...
