Dakota Trail Cabin is a 2 bedroom cabin within walking distance to Old Man's Cave State Park in Hocking Hills. Enjoy the convenience of not having to not having to find a parking space in a full lot at Old Man's Cave Park. With a private yard with easy parking. After hiking come and enjoy our 5 person hot tub on a covered porch. We offer an outdoor fire pit with a gas and charcoal grill. The cabin has 1 deck and one covered porch with outdoor furniture. A 40" smart tv with satellite tv and wireless internet for your enjoyment. Enjoy a gas log fireplace. A full kitchen with basic cooking utensils and tableware and a full-size bathroom with a tub/shower combo. WE ALSO HAVE A SIMULAR CABIN , (STARR VALLEY ) WHICH IS CLOSE AND(PONDEROSA) ON THE SAME PROPERTY. Pet fee of $50.00 per stay,please don't forget to check ✅ the box. (push on the box that says Travelers ,then pets come up

We had a good stay and were very satisfied with the cabin. If I may suggest, the dip in the lane may need a little attention (just some more gravel, maybe) and a bit more level location for the fire ring would be nice. We thank you for your hospitality and had a great time!

Mostly met our expectations
Property was comfortable and ideally located to Hocking Woods State Park. The issues that we had were with the inadequate cooling system and the treacherous driveway. The “mini-split “ system was never designed to heat or cool an entire house, even a small one. But much worse than that was the driveway that dropped down to the level of a small stream and also had multiple chuck holes to deal with. When we first arrived, we were not sure that our small SUV would negotiate the driveway. In addition to the very narrow driving lane, there is a deep rut down one side of the driveway and also no extra room on the other side. If a car would get off to the one side. , it would be time to call a wrecker

Anniversary trip.
We loved our stay. The cabin is cozy but big enough to enjoy. The hot tub was a huge hit with us we used it often. We had a great fire. We grilled our dinner each night with the gas grill on the property. Beds were comfortable, we loved the western devor. Especially all the old cowboy and Indian pictures and small touches. The cabin is very close to all the trails. Quiet, peaceful. Only thing I would suggest is maybe more fans. Because it did stay a little warm inside even with the AC on. We would definitely return and rent this cabin again.

Great location
We had a great weekend getaway with our 2 dogs. Plenty of space for the dogs to run and play outside. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Super convenient location and close to all the dog friendly hiking options.

Home away from home
Nice, quiet place to be if ur not into party or entertaining, yet close to places if u are. Love the country setting with all the birds singing in the mornings. The dogs loved the opened field so they could do zoomies. Really loved the hot tub and fire pit.

Girls Hiking Trip
We had a great stay here! It fit our needs perfectly for a girls trip with 4 of us and a dog. The beds were comfortable. We had a couple of really great bon fires. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. The location cannot be beat!

Easy access to trails, all the amenities you need
This cabin was perfectly situated for all our hiking in Hocking Hills. The visitor center and trails were right down the hill, and it was a short drive to nearby restaurants and shops. The side porch and hot tub were great for reading or soaking at the end of the day. The gas fireplace did not work out first night, but Hannah and company came over to fix it the next day. I even told Hannah we didn't drink coffee so she had extra hot chocolate cups for us to have. The place was serene and everything we needed for our visit!

Fantastic cabin next to the entrance of Hocking Hills State Park
Easy to access, but private rustic cabin situated across the street f on the main entrance of Hocking Hills State Park. We stayed here with our 16 year old son and our 20lb pup. Two bedrooms afforded everyone their privacy, with a shared bathroom, full kitchen and family room with smart TV. Hot tub is on covered porch, which allowed us to comfortably use the hot tub in the rain. All hiking trails were easy to find heading in one direction or another from the cabin. We didn't use the grill or the firepit or second uncovered patio, but all available for use. Owners were close by, should we have needed them, but everything was fine. Grandma Faye's grocery store, up the road had what we needed food wise. I think it's worth noting that there is both a Keurig and coffee pot and that the tap water in the kitchen tasted really good. Overall, great bang for your buck!

We stayed for a long weekend in March with our two small dogs. Very close to old man’s cave and Logan. Comfortable furnishings, nice hot tub , and decently stocked kitchen. Would highly recommend it to a couple or a small family

Spring break4
We were surprised by the small creek crossing to get to the Dakota Trail cabin as it was pouring rain and was really flowing. We realling enjoyed the gas fireplace after hiking all day. Our dog liked walking around on the large property with us. The kitchen is small but to be expected with a cabin. The owners were so friendly calling us about checking in early and were very accommodating with supplies at the cabin. Very memorable spring break trip, thank you!

The house was exactly as listed. We spent 3 days and the cabin was perfect for my wife and I. Next time through we will bring the kids and it will be the perfect size. The house was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The hot tub was great after the long days of hiking. We did not use the grill but it looked clean and in good shape. The porches were nice and the sunrise over the hill was a great way to wake up. The location is great, right down the road from old mans cave and not far from the other trails. We only contacted the owners before and after our stay and they responded quickly and answered all of our questions. This spot is a hidden gem, I highly recommend this rental.

Awesome In Hocking Hills
Wonderful Stay At Dakota Trails Cabin. Very nice host and hot tub was ready for us to jump in. Only 1/2 mile from Old Man's Cave. Beautiful weather. Cabin was clean and had all the necessary items for use. TV worked with Wi-Fi and nice hot water for shower.
