Villa Artigue is located in the heart of the wine-growing region of Saint-Émilion in Gironde. Close to many of the region’s main tourist attractions, this charming villa offers a brilliant base for exploring he cultural and historical heritage of the area. With delicious gastronomy, world-class vineyards, ocean beaches and towns steeped in history, this area offers more than you could imagine, with endless things to see and do during your stay.
Just a short drive from the villa itself, is a wine estate called Domaine de la Grave, owned by the same family as Villa Artigue since 1876. You can explore the wine and Cooperage Museum, eat some cheese and fresh bread in the picnic area, and partake in fun tasting activities and oenological discoveries.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Saint-Émilion is just a ten-minute drive from the villa and is a must visit during your stay. This quaint, mediaeval village hosts nearly a million visitors a year, with exceptional architecture, gastronomy and underground galleries to explore.
One of the main drawers of this vibrant area has always been the wine. The renowned Médoc wine route is well worth exploring, starting in the vineyards of Bordeaux and travelling as far as Pointe de Grave. The wealth of knowledge and quality of grapes is remarkable and leaves every visitor feeling like a wine connoisseur.
For something special, there is a nearby aerodrome which organise aerial tours over the wineries, coastline, and historic towns. From a bird’s eye view you can spot renowned châteaux, and picturesque scenery, giving the villa a sense of place in this beautiful landscape.
Saint-Émilion is not the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in the area, with the city of Bordeaux nearby as well. Overflowing with historic sites, monuments, and must-see spots, you can easily spend a day or two exploring the rich history of the city. La Cité du Vin and the vibrant restaurant scene are well worth visiting, making memories in this remarkable place.
A day at the beach never goes amiss, and Arcachon Bay is only an hour and a half from the villa. Woodland dunes and the blue azure of the sea, make this beautiful bay a lovely spot for some sunbathing and fun in the sand.

€2000 charged to client’s credit card two weeks before arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.

€350 euros to be paid with the balance. Guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or garbage disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
