Villa Tropical La Fortuna w/ Pool: Peaceful & Private Oasis


Very private villa just 4 miles away from La Fortuna downtown La Fortuna, Tropical Villa is the perfect place to discover the beautiful sceneries/attractions of Arenal Volcano/La Fortuna area. It features a 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, A/C units in each bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, private pool, high speed WiFi (200 Megabytes - excellent for work and travel), 3 smart TV, hammocks, BBQ area, green areas, beautiful views and gardens. Gated property which make it very private and secure.

On October 2022 we add a third room, another full bathroom, remodeled the pool and add a BBQ area, the idea was making Villa Tropical more comfortable for our guests, we really are in love of this property because it is very private, it is located far enough from downtown to relax but very close to all main attractions in La Fortuna/Arenal Volcano area.

The property is close to La Fortuna downtown, very private and quiet. Relax by the pool with a glass of wine or just a beer listening your favorite music, reading a book or just having a nice time with your love ones.

If you want to walk around just 15 minutes walk you will get to La Fortuna river where you can plan a picnic, swim in the river and even try some fishing, you will see plenty of fishes in the water.

***We have a sofa bed in the living room for 1 adult or 2 kids (No A/C in the living room, we provide a fan)

Fully equipped kitchen will be ready to prepare the best meals, our WiFi (200 Megabytes - Fiber optic service) excellent for working purposes and stream your favorites movies or TV shows.

Every day you will wake up with the sound of birds around the house, it is the paradise just 10 minutes drive from La Fortuna.

We offer FREE PLANNING SERVICE for your transportation and tours in La Fortuna/Arenal Volcano area, just let us know what you would like to do and we will help you to organize your vacations in our country with excellent rates and service. Once you book our property we will send you a detailed document with information about activities, transportation and more things about La Fortuna/Arenal Volcano area.

1st class property
The property is super clean and exactly like the pics/description. The outdoor pool area is the real gem as we spent most of our time there. WiFi was great. There is also a Sloth sanctuary at the beginning of the road that was an awesome experience (walkable). The property manager was a delight to commute with and we would definitely return when coming back to the area.

Wildlife oasis
The host was responsive and showed us the property at check in. The property was beautiful and we had all that we needed. Wildlife on the property with all the beautiful landscape. And you can walk down the dead end road to see many different bird species, howlers monkeys and a sloth.

Perfect Choice
I am so glad we chose this home. The property felt safe and secure... wall around the property, with electronic gate. Location felt safe... location is at the end of a street off them main road, bordered by a cow farm and the river in front. Home was printing and beautiful. Pool wonderful. Great location just minutes from grocery stores, sodas, and all the things. The company was very helpful with recommending tours. Highly recommend.

Amazing casa with pool
Very private casa with lovely pool and outdoor living space for eating outside. Carlos from Home vacations had amazing and all of the suggestions were appreciated by our whole family. We experienced all of the fun activities and enjoyed casada at local sodas while we were in the area. Many grocery stores and fresh fruit markets nearby so if you like to cook family meals, the kitchen has the tools and kitchen supplies needed (except no dishwasher). Wonderful house and people in La Fortuna!

Loved it
The property was just as advertised. It was clean, accommodated my family of 6, and was close to the awesome town of La Fortuna. The outdoor area was amazing and we saw dozens of howler monkeys across the street! Highly recommend.

Location is superb and the home was beautiful
Some may want to be in the city, but we LOVED being at the end of the road and the solitude provided by this home. It's pretty nicely appointed, the pool was great, and the poorhouse was a pleasant surprise! The communication was spot on, and it was a very nice turnkey experience. We'd stay again!

Perfect set up for families
This was such a lovely setting-the landscaping is gorgeous, the pool was perfect, and the lay out was on point for families. The only frustration was lack of some staples we’re used to finding, such as cooking oil, sharp knives, and simple spices, but this may be a US expectation and we weren’t upset by it at all. We know we like to cook more than others on vacation and just wish we would have known so we wouldn’t have planned to cook. The plethora of locks can be tedious, too, but we’d stay there again in a heartbeat. It was out of the business of town, comfortable, and had ample space in and outdoors to spread out. 5 out of 5!

Little paradise
A little paradise tucked away in between fields. It's only 10 min away from busy area of La Fortuna and very private as the property is surrounded by a solid fence with wire on top to stop wild animals. Gorgeous yard with flowering plants that attract many birds including hummingbirds. It's very serene to sit under the covered patio and enjoy exotic flowers, birds and the amazing pool. House is very clean and comfortable. Someone mentioned ants. We saw none. Really appreciated having a washer and a dryer. Right next to the house there is a pasture with cows. Very cool!

Amazing!
Very private beautiful home! We had a group of 7 so hanging out inside was fine but a little tight. Thankfully the yard and patio was huge & we could all spread out and have our own space 👌 pool was amazing ! Having the outside bathroom/shower was a nice bonus. we had trouble with the gate not opening - the property manager was there in 10 min to change out the remote. Super helpful and responsive. 10/10 would recommend

Nice house and pool area. Very remote.
House was great along with the backyard and pool area. Quiet but way too remote if you want to go to excisions and into town. No address so it was very hard to get transportation. Cooke text the host for anything that you needed.

Our family unfortunately did not enjoy our stay and would not rent this home or from this company in the future. In our opinion the home was not properly fumigated prior to our arrival and was infested with ants. Once it had finally become overwhelming (3rd day) and we complained for a second time they came to fumigate. Once sprayed the ants disappeared. Unfortunately by this time we were already looking for alternative accommodation. The rental company stated that it was due to the rain however on our second day the sun was shining and the fumigation could have been proactively managed. We did not prepare any meals in efforts to keep the ants away however it didn't matter. Being in the rainforest we expected bugs but this was outright overwhelming. The House of Tours booked 2 tours for us. The first one the tour guide didn't show up. They did refund us and offered to rebook us with no charge however by that time we had already booked with another company. The second tour when we paid they undercharged us, they demanded we return to pay for their error within a few hours (we were in the middle of another tour when they notified us of their accounting error). We had to visit their office 3x in one day to mediate these errors. Both we received apologies however this in combination with the ant infestation was not ideal and took up a lot of our precious vacation time. We checked out early and found accommodation elsewhere. This was our experience.

Friends and Family
This nice house is just a quick drive from downtown La Fortuna so it is close to grocery stores, restaurants and fun things to do. You can even see the Volcano while lounging in the pool. The kitchen and inside living area is kind of small, but beautiful grounds, pool, and sitting areas next to the pool make up for that. The bedrooms were spacious and very cool with air conditioning but had no closets or dresser if you wanted to unpack. We saw Toucans, a grey eagle, a ton of hummingbirds, and numerous other types of birds and few really big toads. :) We also heard howler monkeys. The place was adequately stocked with dishes, washer and dryer, but we did have to buy more toilet paper. The shower in the master bedroom wasn't working properly. We reported this to the property manager but left before anything was done. Overall, the pool and outside sitting areas were fabulous and inside the house was generally functional but not fancy.

Comfortable and beautiful home just outside La Fortuna
This home is an excellent place to relax and explore La Fortuna. The outdoor kitchen, pool and living space was a where we spent most of our time. The in room AC's worked well to keep cool at night and property manager was prompt when I had a question. The only issue we had was that some small ants traveled into the kitchen but the property manager helped us figure it out. Home was nicely decorated and clean. We spotted a Toucan and Iguana in the tall trees around the property.

Outdoor space is wonderful. Blond hair on one of the beds and bathroom. Random bugs to kill which is understandable in this setting. The kitchen ants were overwhelming though. Bug spray was supposed to be brought over but that never happened. Definitely keep any food regardless of container in the refrigerator.

Beautiful La Fortuna property
My family of five kids loved our stay. The property was as listed. The bedroom AC units worked well. The outdoor space and pool were beautiful! We wish we could have stayed longer. There were some tiny bugs around in the house that a few of my kids weren’t sure what to think about, but we know being in a rainforest there are bugs. It definitely added to the Costa Rica experience. We would stay again!

Awesome place
This was one of the best properties we have stayed at. The property had plenty of space and the outdoor area was utilized immensely. The pool was very enjoyable. But the best part was the five star service that we received from the property owner. Ran into two normal issues and it was solved very quickly. Location is slightly out of town, but definitely worth the travel.
