“Good location but very little parking available so advisable to pay for on site parking. Had difficulty initially accessing property with passcode and had to enter when another tenant entered. On entry to the apartment there was an overpowering smell of (i think) curry and i had to open windows and spray room freshener to get rid of it . “The unit was very good but unfortunately there wasn't a lift for the other floors. We were on the third and top floor where we had to walk up the stairs and as we get older that can be a nuisance. Signage for the units was non existent and one had to look at the units to see which way to go to get to our unit. I spoke to the day manager regarding this issue. ”

“We enjoyed our four night stay at Ashton retreat. We found it a welcoming place to relax and enjoy the established extensive gardens around the retreat.The little touches made it special-a full fruit bowl, fresh milk , a variety of breakfast cereals, fresh coffees and a variety of teas etc. Kate and Andy were very welcoming - - thank you for the delicious homemade berry jam and fresh homegrown rhubarb. We are looking forward to returning in the near future.”

The accommodation was lovely, with historic bedrooms but modern light-filled living, kitchen and large sheltered outdoor area. It was a hot weekend, but we were very comfortable here. Great base for a tour to the Barossa Valley. ”
