Get away to a charming cabin in a lush glade just 10 min from quaint Woodstock and trendy Kingston. If you've never stayed in an Arts and Crafts house, here's your chance! Steps from soothing waterfalls, our enchanting house sleeps up to six and features two full luxury bathrooms and a modern kitchen. Fall asleep under skylights, unwind in the jacuzzi tub, and enjoy coffee (or yoga!) on the deck. Explore the nearby Catskill mountains, quirky shops, breweries, and farm-to-table restaurants.
The space
We fell in love with the Arts and Crafts style of the cabin, and we know you will too. Enjoy custom woodwork, quirky decor, and artsy touches throughout (can you find the hidden poems?). The property is conveniently located on a main road and has a gravel parking area that easily fits three cars (RVs and trailers permitted). Of course, there’s also fast WiFi (though cell service can be iffy). Sleeps six in three beds. Please note that there are multiple level changes, small sets of steps, and a few low beams throughout the house (we joke that M. C. Escher was involved in the layout).
Here’s a little more about each room inside of the house:
Bedroom Suite (2 Beds): Head upstairs to your comfortable queen bed with nearby queen sleeper sofa. Enjoy wide skylights over both bed areas for stargazing and sunrises. Get cozy with a book on the couch. Work, relax, or serve a meal on the deck. Daydream on the balcony at the far end of the bedroom.
Common Area (1 Bed): Curl up under reclaimed wooden beams to watch a movie on the large smart-TV or gather around the hearth (electric for your safety and ours!) to play board games. Oversized couch pulls out into a comfy queen bed.
Master Bathroom (Jacuzzi, Shower): Indulge in the jacuzzi tub or enjoy the views of the verdant yard from the spacious glass shower. You'll find scented candles, essential oils, and a diffuser tub-side! Towels, soap, shampoo/conditioner, and hair dryer are provided. You’ll also find the modern washer and dryer here.
Second Bathroom (Shower): Slide open the custom barn door to enjoy a large glass shower with skylight, stone seat, and a wide window overlooking the garden. Towels, soap, and shampoo/conditioner provided.
Kitchen: Pour yourself something delicious and cook under a gleaming tin ceiling with a five-burner stove, stainless steel appliances, and butcher block island. You'll find all cooking essentials (pots and pans, full-size refrigerator, cutting boards, drip coffee maker, pour over, tea kettle, blender, microwave, etc.). Barstools at the breakfast nook seat two.
Dining Room: Expansive windows offer forest views from the six-person dining room table. Step outside to take in nature from the patio.
Property: Feel free to roam the garden, meadow, and hill on the one-acre property. Gather around the fire pit, recline in the deck chairs, and fire up the grill (propane and grilling tools provided).
Guest access
Take a walk across the street to enjoy the river and waterfalls or wander up Jockey Hill Road to take in the forest (30 miles of trails are just a 5 min drive up Jockey Hill at Bluestone Wild Forest!). A car is necessary to head into Woodstock, Kingston, Saugerties, or other nearby towns, as well as to reach the many other trailheads nearby.
Parking: Please park in our driveway, which is accessible from either Sawkill Road or Jockey Hill Road.
