Hotell i Kehelwatte

"This beautiful, grand hotel, has lost its glory. We stayed here for 2 nights. Good things: The food and breakfast were excellent, many options to choose from. The location by the sea is amazing. The lobby with the bar was nice. Most of the staff were so nice and friendly (not everybody though) We liked our room, it had a nice ocean view. Bad things: So many parts of the hotel need refurbishing. It’s sad to see. We have been here before and they had a guided tour around the hotel. Today that would have been a sad story. The furnitures and sun beds on the terrace were old and worn. The blue cushions to the sun-beds were nice and comfortable. The nice fish restaurant on the beach was closed. The lifts were worn and I didn’t feel comfortable in the lift."

"Vänliga och hjälpsamma servicemedarbetare. Fint takpoolområde med härlig utsikt. Sängarna var sköna, rena rum. Saknas dock krokar och även extra bagagehylla. Kunde fixa frukost att ta med väldigt tidigt missade tyvärr frukostbuffén. "

"Loud AC unit close to the pool was disturbing. Only one coffee machine in the restaurant. In general a great hotel with great serviceminded staff."

"Hotellet är slitet och behöver en renovering. Personalen är inte trevliga och är helt förvirrade. Det tog personalen ca 6 timmar innan vi kunde få våra bagage. Tillslut fick vi själva gå ner till lobbyn och hämta dessa. Det finns bättre hotell i Colombo för priset som fokuserar på att ge god service och som har fina rum. Vi ångrade att vi checkade in på detta hotell. "

"Ett alldeles förträffligt hotell att bo på, mitt i city. Bra skick, rent och snyggt. Förstod inte innan att det är ett "halal-hotell", det vill säga det finns ingen alkohol överhuvudtaget. Undrar hur det blir med havsutsikten när hotellet mittemot blir färdigt? När vi var där hade man kommit till tredje våningen ungefär..."

"Excellent vacation at Shangri-La! Everyone was fantastic and mr Dinesh at the hopper station at the breakfast buffe was worth the stay in it self! Best breakfast ever! "

"Got a voucher for 12 usd when I made me reservation. No one noticed that and I had to argue with restaurants that n the area and still they could not solved it. For the future it is much better if you give the guests a paper voucher as they do at the sister hotel cinnamon red when you Check in. Also a difference when the staff of cleaning make the room, sometimes toothbrush and refill of water and other days not. The “night club” Colobar is a bit is a problem since they plays loud music outside and the music can be heard in the rooms, that is not what you wish for a hotel like this. Improvement please on this! Still this is one of my favorite hotels in Sri Lanka but I also think it needs a renovation. "

"Väldigt långsam och stökigt vid incheckning, inte särskild tillmötesgående kring möjlighet att få ett extra täcke till rummet etc. Möte inte vad vi förväntaade oss kring allmän service nivå"
