“It was lovely and relaxing and clean. There is no wi-fi but good mobile coverage.We didn’t use the spa. But didn’t particularly like that the host needed regular access to the spa to test the water and we only found this out a week before our stay. We really wanted a completely private experience, so just bear this in mind. The host was very respectful in asking for access to the property for this. But we enjoyed our stay none the less. We did need to leave a night early due to a family...

“Stokes Bay, and thus the cabins, is isolated. Situated on the cliff face, looking north, one is surrounded by silence and peace, mixed with dozens of kangaroos and even some sheep. Nearby is the only restaurant, sadly open only till 5 pm; so bring your own food or consider a drive to Kingcote (sadly with roo-danger for the nightly return. We stayed three nights to have a holiday… make daytime excursions and enjoy evenings at the cabin. Highly recommended, but not if you expect action!”

“We had 3 nights at the property. It was well maintained and spotless from inside. Outside needs a bit of an upgrade. But all in good condition. It was nice and quiet and the host was really friendly. Perfect for a small family. ”

“Kingscote has the basic essentials (Eg supermarket, bakery, petrol, restaurants), and is great base for exploring the island. Char’s place is very clean, comfortable, spacious, on a very large block. Very quiet. The hosts are great advisers of what to do / not to do etc. Lovely. ”

“This cottage would be perfect for someone wanting to completely get away from the world or on a fishing holiday. The view was gorgeous and it was so close to the beach, you could not ask for more in this regard. However, we needed to drive in and out of Kingscote regularly to find things to do which got a bit much because we didn’t realise there was nothing around. This was just our misunderstanding of the island though and no fault of the property, which really was lovely. ”
