“We liked our stay here very much. The weather was very cold so the room was a little cold too, but everything else was lovely. The free breakfast was very nice and the room and bathroom were great. Nice to have onsite parking too”

“Fantastic place totally out of the ordinary. Five-star attention by the staff made us feel welcome from the start. Great romantic room and Full English breakfast served at the table. We had dinner in the cosy restaurant with a menu leaning heavily on seafood, for obvious reasons. After a walk along the seafront we came back for a coffee in the nice pub-part of the restaurant. Our room (404) had total sea view and we could see Portsmouth across the sound. We'll come back next time we're in the...

“This was my first stay in a B&B as I usually stay in a hotel. It has a very welcoming atmosphere, with a wonderful homely feel. Breakfast had a choice of toast, jams, cereal and the cooked breakfast was cooked to order. This stay has left me wanting to stay in more B&B's. ”

“The property is a period house and the owner Chris has kept it to that style, very clean with a excellent breakfast cooked to perfection by Chris with a wide and varied choice of food. Whitwell is a designated dark sky area with some very pretty houses lots of thatched roofs,the local pub is only a few minutes walk and well worth a visit,the food is excellent. I would definitely recommend a stay at Kingsmede ,it fulfilled all my wife and I hopes”
