“Property is as described. It's dated but well cared for. The caretaker is great. PLEASE note. Last few kilometers of road are not paved...we had 4x4's was fine. Closest supermarket is a 40 minute - hour drive. Beach isn't the best for swimming but totally remote and private. We loved this place. ”

There is about a 10-15 minutes ride from the entrance to the house, and there are some hills. It is best to rent a golf cart while staying at the house - its the best way to get around the property. “Everything was dirty in the property, from the shower curtain full of black mold to coffee maker and fans. Streets are full of garbage outside, smell of sewages and garbage is everywhere. In the shower we found worms and spiders. They even did not have the cutesy of cleaning the dishes, we had to re-wash everything before use. It was horrible. We decided to leave for a hotel the last 5 days of our trip.”

The beach is very close and there are macaws flying everywhere. We were able to see most of the peninsula doing short day trips and returning at night. Beautiful compound with a pool all to our self. Very good location about 1 hour from all you want to do in costa rica. I felt very safe at the place and in the town. Josh also has great contacts for very reasonable rental cars and fresh fish and steaks and the local groceries. Cant wait to go back.seemed like i was the only tourist around...
