The quaint Story Land, a family-friendly theme park offering endless rides, water slides, and guided antique cars, is three miles away. Hiking trails abound nearby. If you'd like to experience more of a city life, North Conway is less than five miles away offering a plethora of dining and shopping options. Winter visitors can take their pick between skiing at Attitash (six miles away) or Cranmore (five and a half miles away).

Perfect home near the mountains
Place was extremely clean and we loved the peacefulness of the area. Our dog loved the river across the street. It was so easy to drive to North Conway, and many of the mountains in the area for hiking. I would highly recommend this place and we hope to return.

Clean, comfortable, and quiet
Could not find washer/dryer and the upstairs shower is not a good fit for anyone over 5 feet tall because of the angle of the ceiling: other than that, the location is easy to find and quiet. The house was clean and had plenty of room for 2-4 people with comfortable furnishings. We wish we would have been able to stay longer. Bring drinking water.

Comfortable, centrally-located, dog-friendly house
The house was comfortable and nicely located for my family (two adults, a child, and a dog). Very few places allow dogs as large as our 79-lb lab. So, we were happy to see that this property allows one dog of any size. Something potential guests should note is that this property is not rented “by owner”. It is managed by a company called Vacasa, and that is who fields any questions or problems. Our experience was that it was very difficult to get them to address a particular issue. We would give this house another go if the owner would lose Vacasa.

Dog friendly and considerate
This property was a last minute book. The mini split worked great to cool the entire home. The kitchen was stocked to cook during our stay (pots, pans, dish soap etc). We loved the outdoor shower out back. The location was tucked away next to a rocky shallow river that you could spend a majority of your day exploring. Getting in the door and WiFi were easy breezy. Thanks for hosting us!

Very sorry home
The bedrooms had no dresser or chest to put clothes in, so we had to live out of the suitcase for the entire month. There was no privacy curtain on the bathroom window, so we had to put a towel over it. The curtain in the master room was see through so we put a blanket over it. The heat is just a fire place which heats the tiny home, but leaves the bathroom COLD. The patio and fire pit were very nice, we enjoyed them. I have learned to ask more questions before I rent again. Past rentals were so nice I assumed too much. Needless to say we will never rent this one again.

Mountain getaway
My bf, dog and I stayed here for 3 days and we loved it! Amazingly clean, had everything we needed. All 3 of us loved it and how cozy and comfortable we felt! Bugs outside at night were a little bad but we find that almost everywhere this time of year. We will def be staying here again and with a few family night time!

We love our staying
We love staying at the house, very cozy and all the amenities as described. Very close to local attractions and we loved the river across the street. The only downside is the lack of dishwasher, which is a must have for a rental property. We cooked for thanksgiving and not having a dishwasher was disappointed. We’ll definitely stay again.

Beautiful cozy home, few downfalls
Adorable home, beautiful large loft with bathroom and 2 bedrooms. Clean, new, very cozy with the gas fireplace. Well stocked, but no hair dryers at all or extra soap. Few downfalls. Located on main road, right on edge of fast corner, so not good for kids or dogs to be outside. Very late check in rule of 4pm only. We emailed 48 hrs before to request an early check in since we were arriving in town at 8am, and we received no answer. When we arrived to the house at 4pm in 20 degree weather, house was freezing and no running water. No instructions for heat, water, or anything upon arrival. No owner contact. Had to call a third party company in Florida who then sends someone out that had never been to the house before. Figured out the water and the heat ourselves, then we were sent directions for the heat thermostat at 7pm and they didn’t apply to this house or thermostat/unit. So we missed our dinner reservation. Toilet upstairs did not flush the whole weekend, and also no instructions for lockbox on how to leave or lock it up once you check in and want to leave for a bit. Lucky we have fun anywhere, and it was a beautiful cozy home and a wonderful time!! But they definitely need to work on effortless, seamless turnover for guests to have an easy transition. Maybe prepare the home during the cleaning that day.

Perfect getaway spot.
We usually take 2 trips up to North Conway a year. One with the kids (2), and one just Tara and I with the dog. This house was just she and I, and it was perfect for a relaxing vacation. While there were ample accommodations for many more to sleep and stay, the house itself is compact in layout without feeling cramped at all and pleasantly not too much house which is often the case when it’s just the two of us. This is by far our favorite rental we have had this far. Would definitely recommend. If we were to take the kids up for a ski trip it would work just as well. We will definitely look for this house again on our next trip. Thank you!!

Mostly perfect place
This place is attractive, the kitchen is well stocked, the bathrooms are nice, and the location is close to everything but quiet and feels remote. However, we did have two issues. We booked the place for four adults because we wanted to invite friends who live an hour south to stay. However, after we had booked this dog-friendly place, upon signing the contract we learned that only one dog could stay. So, we could not invite our friends, who also have a dog - that was disappointing. Fortunately, we hadn't yet invited them. A bigger drawback was that the beds are hard as rocks. We had difficulty sleeping and woke with back pain every day. If you don't mind a hard bed, and don't have more than one dog, this is a very nice little place.

Beautiful area
The house is a great location for fun around North Conway. Loved biking at Cranmore, exploring Dianas Baths and Kancamagus. Would be nice if there was welcome information about wifi, area, etc in the house instead of just online. It was a pain to have to drive garbage to the company dumpster. Since we are paying a cleaning fee, seems they could include garbage removal. When dropping at the dumpster, 2 other groups checking out of Pinkham properties expressed the same annoyance.

Great house close to everything
We had a nice stay in this house. It is a very cute, cozy house. The pictures of it are very accurate. It was convenient to all activities, which was great. We loved swimming in the river that was just a short walk down the street from the house. While we enjoyed our stay, the house smelled a bit musty and the furniture was covered in dog hair. We brought our dog, but she is a hypoallergenic dog, so she sheds very little. The beds were not comfortable at all, which was disappointing. Overall, a nice stay, but I probably wouldn’t go back.

Great location
This house had a perfect location, right across from the river where the kids enjoyed swimming in the afternoon after hiking. It was stocked with everything we needed. As noted, there is no dishwasher but it was no problem for us as there are so many restaurants within 10 minutes from the house. Thanks again for letting us stay at your home! And dealing with PVR makes the process very easy.

Great Location, Smallish, But Cozy and Comfortable
Property largely met expectations and pictures matched the actual set up, furnishings, etc. It's directly across the street from the river, but you have to walk down the road a little ways to access it. The access point has some parking for others who want to swim and hang out on the rocks. There were people there almost every day, but it was not crowded. The river is fun and has some neat shoots, so bring tubes and make a day of it. The teenage kids liked tubing, laying out on the rocks and exploring the river. The yard of this property is a work in progress and there wasn't much use for it. They had planted grass and were watering it on a timer. We got a burning permit per the instructions on the Pinkham Property Rentals Website, but never found a fire pit to use. Though there was chopped up wood on property, which I don't think they want you to use. There is no dishwasher, so be prepared to wash dishes, or bring paper products to dispose of. The transfer station license was missing, so we had to drive our trash and recyclables to the Pinkham Rental Office dumpster a few times. Not a big deal. We could not locate a hair dryer, or a dustpan for the broom. There was an ant issue on the counters in the kitchen. There is an icemaker in the fridge. There is a gas/propane grill which is in good shape/on the newer side. Be careful when turning it on, as there doesn't seem to be a drip pan under the grill and the propane tank was covered in grease. The property has a built in wall AC until downstairs. So the downstairs can get downright cold, while the upstairs is hot. The upstairs shower can only really accommodate a child, the sprayer is so low. The downstairs shower is normal height and there is a terrific outdoor shower for the warmer months. You have to turn on the water from the basement. There aren't much in the way of board games, so bring your own. We bought a few puzzles that we did on rainy days and left them as a donation to future guests. There is WiFi and streaming video services in the house, downstairs and upstairs. We did find some water in the basement. It's no surprise given the brook behind the house, river across the street, etc. They have a sump pump, so they are clearly aware of it. In general, it was a very good stay. I would say it lacks some of the nice touches/charm you get when you stay with an owner-operated property. This was operated by a rental company.

Cute, comfortable house. Be aware that there is no dishwasher and no on-site trash removal. Listing probably indicated this, but we didn't realize it until we arrived. We drove the trash and recycling to a dump about ten minutes away. Recycling must be separated at the dump. The site/location is good, short drive to town and to Wildcat & Attitash. House is close to the road. Wall heating unit was not on at first and the first night was really cold, but property manager responded quickly to our inquiry and told us how to turn on the unit.
