Den charmiga Idyll Pine Cone Cabin!

Inbäddat i San Jacinto Mountains, är Idlyllwild en vacker och fridfull konst gemenskap med charm, butiker, konstgallerier, bra restauranger och lokala vandring och det är bara 2 timmar från San Diego, Orange County eller Los Angeles. Pine Cone Cabin är en verkligt elegant rustik upplevelse. Med Aspen log möbler, 2 öppna spisar (1 i matsalen & 1 i ett sovrum, stor 20 "x 17" master bedroom, 2 sovrum med sittgrupp, jacuzzi jet badkar och separat överdimensionerad dusch i (2) 10 'x 10 'badrum, däck med utsikt över sluttningen tallar och sidoområde för BBQ-ing & matsal. Massor av fönster för att visa den vackra naturen och tallar. Du kan ha en mycket romantisk upplevelse eller bara luta sig tillbaka och njuta av några dagar av avkoppling. Stugan ligger på den privata sidan av Idyllwild (grannar är en sträcka) men stugan är bara 1/3 mil från huvudgatan i staden.
Jag också tema dekorera för semester och speciella tillfällen att göra det mer roligt och intressant!

STAY AWAY! THIS PLACE IS A RIPOFF!!
Made a reservation for Valentine's weekend. Contacted host to get access. Host doesn't respond. And they never use email because then you'll have something to document their communication. We get a voicemail from a blocked number saying that the cabin is being worked on and should've been blocked off. Susan (host) said that she would cancel the reservation at her end and that I should do so at my end as well. I set about making other plans to salvage the weekend and do something else. She never canceled anything. She won't return my calls. VRBO charged me anyway, and won't refund it because the host never canceled it. They have tried to contact her multiple times and she never answers. I should've read the reviews on this place. It seems like a scam. The host leaves the place dirty and doesn't respond when contacted. Tons of negative reviews and VRBO does nothing. It's like they are fine with their customers getting screwed as long as the money comes in. I have made numerous calls to VRBO. They have been no help. I will dispute the charge with my credit card company and never use VRBO again. This host is only able to steal money from guests because VRBO LETS THEM!

Do not book this cabin. The host is unresponsive and does not take care of the property. Almost none of the amenities listed in the ad existed. We arrived on a winter night and the heater would not work. The beds were not made. We had to put new sheets on ourselves. We had to take out all of the garbage. There was a pile of old damp towels in the bathroom which is odd because we were told to bring our own towels. After running small space heaters and building a fire the place became tolerable. I tried all the numbers listed for the host. The voice mail boxes were full and she did not answer or respond to text until our stay was conveniently over. I sent her pictures and descriptions of what was going on. I walked to the gas tank the next day to see why the central heat was not working and the main line had been disconnected with a yellow tag stating the bill had not been paid in some time. This note was left in July 2022 we stayed in December 2022. So basically the host rented us a cabin with no gas or heat. The internet was disconnected, the Netflix was expired and the jets in the bathtub didn’t stay on. This was a getaway for me and my wife that became terrible. I have been trying to get some kind of refund from the host but she is evasive and very hard to reach. We are considering small claims court. Advertising services, taking money and not providing them is fraud. To date she has done nothing. Verbo is useless and we want some sort of refund.

It was easy to see the bedsheets and pillows were used, the house was dusty, Wi-Fi does not work and owner never replied to any of our messages

False Advertising!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Due to the heavy traffic from San Diego on 7/2/2022, I arrived at the property around 9:30 P.M. and freaked out when we saw the horrible hygienic conditions of the place. 7-8 empty Stella beer bottles, 3-4 Kombucha empty bottles, unwashed1 wine glass, 3 mugs, 2 shot glasses, 2 bowls (Yellow & White), and 1 spoon was on the sink, VONS market bag was on the floor, dirty bed covers on the living room floor in front of the TV, used bed sheets were not replaced, found 2 used towels underneath of the pillows (1st-floor bedroom), filled trash can & 2 used towels in the bathroom, 1 yellow towel hanging on the shower booth frame, the dining table was very dirty and found full of dust when I wiped it with a wet paper towel, full of dog hairs on the blanket (2nd-floor bed), cockroaches, and insects including bed bugs crawling all over the place, etc... There are so many additional things are available to describe of this home. The air conditioner is not available and there's only 1 full bathroom. Very different from what the host posted on this website. The host admitted the property was not cleaned and prepared for our visit and reported the claim to VRBO for a full refund. Originally booked from 7/2-7/4, but due to the health issue of our family members having severe skin irritation that occurred since the night we arrived, we checked out from the property on 7/3/2022 to survive. Currently waiting for a doctor's appointment. They massed up the 1st family trip I specially requested on an extra hygienic environment for my dad who had heart surgery not too long ago directly to the host. Please DM me if anyone needs additional info.

Avoid at all cost
The original description of 2 bathroom was incorrect since there was only one bathroom. The host was there to greet us and one of her dog bit one of our party while checking in with the host twice. The upstairs bedroom was infested with mouse droppings (window sills, carpet and even found one on the bed, top of the fridge and some on the dining room table). No parking....car port was full of stuff and had to park close to the street which was dark and narrow. Be careful of the stairway!! When we saw all the mouse dropping we wanted to leave but unfortunately it was a long weekend and every thing was booked. The fridge was half full of food that we have no idea of its freshness and where it came from. I must add that the place is cute but not for 4 adults and it needs a lot of cleaning. If we can give a 0 for cleanliness we would have.

Do not stay here, not recommended
First off let’s start by saying description on ad is falsely advertised, property only has 1 restroom that is in master bedroom, so your guest will have to go through master bedroom to get to the restroom. Absolutely no privacy, if you are showering or bathing because shower and bath are separate there’s absolutely no privacy no doors the entrance to the bathroom from the master bedroom only has shutters no actual door which is inconvenient if you’re there with friends or another a couple. Upon arriving and entering cabin it was freezing probably be low 45

RUSTIC IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!!!
We should have read the reviews before booking...plenty of red flags. First of all, the furnace never worked for the 2 nights we were booked there...and this is in FEB!! We contacted the owner and their only response was, "well it worked on Thursday..and turn off the furnace to avoid getting charged extra"....WOW. Then she offered to make it up by giving us a free night at no charge...again, without a working furnace. Never an offer to have it fixed. The only way to keep warm in each room were portable heaters. However, 1 of the 3 in the cabin did not work. Of the 2 built-in heaters on timers in the bathroom, only 1 of the 2 worked. Several of the electrical outlets did not work and had to try others to plug heaters, phone chargers, IPADs, etc. into. The overall quaintness of the cabin was fine for me because I have stayed in some very "rustic" places over the years, but this place is DARK, DANK, and not a place to stay during the winter with intermittent heat. The carpeting was old and "rustic" enough that my wife refused to take off her shoes/socks until climbing into bed. We found several places in the cabin with spider webs. Even when taking a shower, she only had the "hot" water on and it was barely warm. That makes for a COLD exit from the shower. It is entirely our fault for not thoroughly reading the REVIEWS before booking, However, I expect a clean, serviceable, and comfortable accommodations when I book through HOTELS.COM and VRBO, and THIS IS NOT.

Cute quaint cabin with charm.
Loved the quaint cabin, full of charm. Had some small issues but nothing that interfered with our holiday weekend. Would recommend this cabin for a small family or couple for a quiet getaway.

Great cabin
We loved this Idyllwild cabin in the trees. It was great to have coffee on the back deck in the sun while watching gray squirrels, woodpeckers, blue birds etc go from tree to tree. This cabin has everything you need in it, the owner really has thought of everything and even leaves some extra food/touches to make the stay even more pleasant. The cabin is also close to town, we walked to it, so that was a bonus. Can’t wait to return!

Fantastic weekend
The home was a wonderful way to spend a weekend in Idyllwild, and I especially liked the back deck—the night sky was amazing. Susan provided more food, condiments and spices than I’ve ever seen in a vacation rental, so that was a pleasant surprise.

This property should not be listed
The property was not ready for inhabitation by 4 o’clock check in for the week we reserved. We were unable to stay at this property at all. Ultimately, through Vrbo we got our money back. If you are dissatisfied with a property for legitimate reasons you must contact Vrbo to explain the situation! Right now I would stay with one of the hotels in Idlewild. They don’t require payment before hand and we stayed at the Silver Pines Hotel and it was wonderful. We were very lucky they had a vacancy for the night and were able to accommodate us for our whole week we planned to be in Idyllwild.

Nightmare
We actually did not stay. We arrived and the owner was passed out in the front living room. End all be all we had to call the police and we are still trying to fight to get our money back because we did not stay there for the weekend. I do not recommend this rental. And I suggest if you’re considering it, you run away very fast. The owner has domestic issues and this is not her first rodeo having the police called to her house. We had to go into town and rent a second place. I’m upset with VRBO because they opened a trouble ticket but it’s up to the owner to accept the full refund. And the owner was the problem. We are now pursuing through AMEX. Do not rent this place.

Picturesque and convinient location
Charming cabin just a few minutes drive from town. Nice and quiet spot where you feel relatively secluded from any neighbors. It was hot outside when we were there; the portable AC kept the downstairs area comfortable during the day and the upstairs was cool enough to sleep comfortably at night.

Unique experience
This Vrbo is unique and extremely cozy. I also really like how close knit and interactive the lay out is, when I was in the living room I was still able to feel connected to m friends on the balcony because of the windows. Overall, this was a wonderful stay and I am grateful.

BEWARE!!! DON’T GET RIPPED OFF!!!
Horrible experience! Upon arrival (4:30pm) the lock box was open with no key, called Susan Clifton, she said that she was trying to locate a cleaning crew and to use ladder to pull up to back deck to enter through broken French door that doesn’t close right or lock. That was very dangerous to say the least. The place is a disgusting, filthy disaster. We called her back immediately and told her that we were leaving and that we expected compete refund, she didn’t respond. After many attempts to contact her, leaving multiple messages, there has been no response. We took pictures of the dump, hope they help with our claim with VRBO and our credit card company. What a nightmare!

Amazing first time
This cabin was very spacious, clean, and the outside balcony is beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed for a great Mother’s Day weekend. Just 1 tinsy tiny complaint, there were flies that just wouldn’t stop appearing even after getting rid of the first round of flies.

A Cabin in the Sky
A classic mountain cabin. Everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Close enough to the town of Idyllwild to be convenient. Far enough away to feel alone in the woods.

Fantastic cabin in a fantastic location
Quaint, well-cared-for cabin with lots of room. Relatively isolated from neighbors, there's a big deck in the back and a well-shaded little yard to the side for relaxing outside. It's just a few minutes walk to a trail that leads to the nearby nature center, and about a twenty minute walk to town. Owner was friendly and helpful, and the arrival/departure process was free of hassles. This will definitely be our first choice for a place to stay when we have a chance to get back to Idylwild.

PLEASE READ
Me and my family had the worst experience. Please don’t be deceived how this cabin looks in pictures. It does look like its a nice and cozy cabin and potentially could be a good one BUT the most unimaginable happened to us. The house was dirty and disgusting!!! Cobwebs everywhere, expired condiments in the cupboard (2004) and refrigerator, our bedsheet/blanket had a big hole, a glass of old milk in the bathroom, old sock on the floor, old used cooking oil in a jar in the cupboard, gross oven with hard grease on it and a thumb tack on the carpet that my 8yo almost stepped on! The host argued witb me as if I am making this all up and accused me of snoopin around finding fault! Denied every single thing without any accountability. While I have ALL the photos as evidence!! She Sent her housekeeper and when confronted all she said was “I don’t know about that”. Me and my family had to endure this filth for 3 days since the host wont refund our money when i had said we just want to leave because we dont feel safe and comfortable. The worst part of this is the Host’ attitude. When I said luckily my daughter didn’t step on the thumb tack and get hurt. Susan Clifton- the Host responded: “Well there is insurance for that. “ She should never be allowed to be in this business putting guest’s health and safety at risk! She is straight out a dishonest person and coldhearted.
