När du stannar en vecka i en av Bear Foot Lodges två hytter (Bears Eye View & Lazy Bear) börjar du kalla det hemifrån. Njut av sjön om dagen och en knallrande eld på natten. Hubbard Lake är en av Michigan: s främsta utvägsområden. Denna vackra sjöutväg erbjuder sandbad, simning, prime-time fiske, snorkling, vattenskidåkning, paddling och har tillgång till en närliggande båtlansering. Bara 30 minuters bilresa till Alpena.

Fishing Fun
Beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed fishing for Smallmouth Bass and watching the licals search for bobbers.

Retirement vacation
We love Hubbard Lake and this cabin is clean, well decorated and comfortable. The only concern would be the steps down to the dock are very uneven and if your older with knee problems, it could be a problem. The owners are great and respond to a message very quickly.

Everything was great nice place and friendly people , Just people next door had a dog running lose and pooped in the lawn by the fire pit several time as they watched him and never cleaned it up .

Hubbard Lake Aug 2023
We had a great time during our stay. We had crappy weather our first couple of days, but made the best of it playing games and watching movies. The house itself was pretty good. My only complaints are the bed in the back bedroom was really uncomfortable and there were a lot of hornets down on the dock area. It would be nice for each house had its own picnic table as well. Other than that we were very comfortable and the views of the lake were beautiful.

I grew up here but left 40 years ago to travel the world. But the ‘lake’ is still my home. Great experience to return & it brought back fine memories. The property managers were great in answering our questions.

Nice lake.
We were disappointed with the parking in that our boat/trailer was too big for (steep) driveway so we had to park trailer elsewhere. We were told the Northend Launch was 1/2 mile down the road when in reality it was over 4 miles. However, property manager was timely in responding to our questions. (Our pontoon is a 22'.) Nice lake.

Vacation Time
This property has a lovely view of Hubbard Lake. We enjoyed being able to dock our boat right at the site and use it whenever we chose. The fire pit and picnic table were nice to have and added to the experience. We ended up with some rain on our trip and it was great to have the full indoor table for eating and playing games. We opted to bring our own blankets, in addition to linens, for our time there and were glad we did.

This is a great place to stay for a couple. We had a great time and would love to stay again. Only thing to change would be the back bedroom bed that was uncomfortable but overall a really great place to stay.

Best views!!
This was a cute little cottage on a beautiful lake, but the money was worth it just for the view!! Set high on a hilll, the sunsets and sunrises over the lake were stunning. Fortunately we had great weather to see them. The Fish flies hatched the day we were leaving in massive swarms from the lake - also the fish weren't biting all weekend because they were full of the fish fly larvae. No one's fault at all but not super great for the fishing that weekend. The cabin was cozy and cute and well stocked with helpful items, including a nice welcome package and treats for the dog!! Thank you to the owners for letting us enjoy your little cottage on such a beautiful lake!!

We went to Hubbard lake for a wedding at Churchill Point...which was spectacular...very easy to navigate around the lake.. The bears eye view cottage was as described and the view of the lake was entrancing!!! Loved sitting out in the swing watching the loons and boats!!!!

The property was nice and the view of lake was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay. The only thing I would recommend would be that they clean the deck and docks better. They were full of spiders and cobwebs.

Beautiful view!! When viewing this cabin on VRBO it said in the amenities, they provide linens and towels. It was a bummer when we arrived to find out we needed to bring our own. They told us to go purchase them at the dollar store, so we did. We would’ve gladly brought our own if we knew, please change that. It was a challenge to pull out of the driveway watch out for speeding cars. Sunrise/sunsets are amazing. Nice kitchen. Everything else is small, but serves it’s purpose. We were able to dock our pontoon which was great.

A lot of bugs. I got bitten by a spider in bed and ended up with cellulitis. It is very painful.
It needs to be really cleaned inside and out. The deck on the water it awful, there is green moss growing all over it. Another issue was there were two dresser’s and every drawer either had a blanket or pillows, no place for your clothing. Because of my bite, I left on Monday before my week was over.

Perfect cottage getaway
Loved the cottage. Suited us perfectly. The lake is huge, clean and sandy bottom. Took our tritoon with us and the dock worked out well. Fished and caught huge huge small mouth bass and tasty walleye. Golfed multiple times at WhitePines National. The course was is excellent shape and easy to get a tee time. 3 different groups stayed in the cottage behind us while we were there and everyone was nice and shared the space easily. Would come back again.

Nice Cottage and beautiful lake. The cottage was small but perfect for four people. We brought our dogs but had problems with the neighbors dogs being not on leashes and kept coming on our property. The other cottages are very very close in there was little privacy. Do you need water shoes for the rocky waterfront which cut the bottom of my foot and two of my children. The lake however was beautiful and we were able to enjoy our boat and Jetski‘s but will not come back because of the privacy issue

This cottage is on the lake with lots of windows. The bedrooms and bath are small . The furnishings are very nice and everything is very clean
