“A disappointing apartment, certainly not worth over £110 per night. Very basic with unattractive furnishing. The advertised 'parking on site' is only 1 space for 2 apartments and was not available on our arrival - this should be made clear in the listing. There are cameras on the balcony and hot tub so we did not use either as it was so intrusive. When we arrived the bedsheets and towels smelt awful, they came to change but hardly any better. The air conditioning smelt bad and we had to sleep...

“Good apartment block. Apartment was basic and beds not the great but good for its price. Aircon is not free/included. It runs on a meter and takes €1 & €2. It cost use roughly €50 to run 2 bedrooms around 15 hours a day. Owner pleasant and met us on arrival. Also live across from building so at hand if there is any problems. ”

“We had an excellent stay in Fort Chambray. Our appartment was on the first floor with a lovely view of the swimmimg pools and the Mediterranean sea. The appartment was very clean and very well kitted out, we lacked nothing. The owner met us on arrival and was very welcoming and helpful.”

“Apartment was very nice. The fort is mostly a disaster area. No renovations have been done for 30 years. A new developer has come forward with another plan so it will be interesting if it ever happens. Pool is enormous. I was the only one in it but we were here early May. Eat at Rexys. Great food. We only had their pizzas and dessert. Area is isolated so Bolt will be required to get to other restaurants. Near Mgarr harbour. I would recommend the island and even the Fort if you desire...

“The apartment was very well laid out and had everything you need throughout. There was a lovely generous hamper awaiting our arrival. The air con was much appreciated and the views from the balcony lovely. Martin the host was easy to communicate and quick to respond. Misrah Simar is located in the higher part of Qala but udeally placed for the ferry port, nearby beaches, shops and bars. ”

“Nice, very large apartment, very good condition, very clean. Nicely furnished, lots of storage space and space. Kitchen well equipped. The balcony is narrow and is in the shade from late morning. There is a roof terrace (without shade). The apartment is further down and has shutters. That's why you can keep the apartment quite cool, even without A/C. Many windows have mosquito nets so that you can ventilate safely. The mattresses are very hard. The apartment is noisy: If there are guests...
