“Staff friendly. Pool and spa facility very good all season. Good gymnasium. Food offerings limited but what was offered was not bad and price reasonable. Rooms need some modernization. Shower bath combo a little slippery, possible fall hazard. But overall ok. Good breakfast buffet. Views were the best in Horta. Nice bar area.”

“Hotel do Canal is our favorite hotel in Faial. The staff are warm and friendly. The accommodations are nice and spacious. It is pretty handicap accessible and offers onsite gym, tours, multi-lingual staff, and delightful restaurant! We had dinner to which no detail had been overlooked and a great wine list was available. We also always enjoy a delightful breakfast with local offerings and general European cuisine. We already look forward to our return!”

“For those looking for a hideaway in a scenic location on the north coast of Faial, this house is perfect. The kitchen is well equipped and ingredients such as oil, vinegar, spices, sugar, etc. were available. “Mysig lägenhet och familjeägt. Märktes då man får väldigt personlig service! Ägarinnan var väldigt mån om att vi skulle trivas! Vi hade en fantastisk vistele och det ligger I ett mysigt område nära hamnen och en liten strand! Cyklar och kajaker går att låna gratis av ägarna! Dock first come first serve så kolla tillgängligheten. För oss gick det bra och dom pratade om att skaffa fler cyklar framöver också:-) Kan varm rekommendera att bo här! Good value for money och personlig service!!”

“Our family of 5 (four adults & one teen) felt right at home. Plenty of room and the outside yards are very special. You’ll want a rental car or be prepared for a steep walk up from town. Kitchen is small but well-equipped. Hosts are nice and helpful. WiFi is strong & reliable. Good screens on the windows to keep the biting bugs out!”
