“Check in was amazingly simple. She easily found my reservation and I was able to get checked in. We went to Cape Charles which was close in proximity for a family vacation. We didn’t spend much time in our room. The time spent in the room was well worth it. It was a spacious room with a nice clean energy. My only complaint is the toilet, it wasn’t clean. Had several urine stain lines running down the front of it. I brought Lysol wipers and Lysol air freshener to spray so it wasn’t a huge deal....

“We were responsible for all housekeeping for more than a week, but they were stingy with supplies to do our own housekeeping. I had to list what items I intended to clean (sink, toilet, light switches, etc) in order to access cleaning items. At one point, the hospitality worker directed us to Dollar General to go buy our own cleaning supplies. They didn’t even have spare sheets. We asked for clean linens and then we had to turn our sheets in so we could get them back hours later. We were there...

“I enjoyed my stay very much. The facility was clean and my room had been recently updated. The provided breakfast was delicious. The location was so convenient for walking to the Main Street shops, and the Ropewalk restaurant was just next door. I'm looking forward to staying there again.”

“We spent 3 nights in 2 over-water bungalows…4 generations ages 2 to 85. The houses were well equipped and maintained. Beds were comfy, tvs were great for nighttime watching. The front porch was a great place to hang out, eat, etc. my only suggestion is maybe put a rope ‘net’ at the end of the floating piers between the houses to make them a little safer for little children. Otherwise, it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend a visit for this unique experience.”

“The hospitality at this traditional bed and breakfast was top notch. The rooms were comfortable with a fantastic view of the water. The beach was accessible from the house. The host, Mike, was very friendly and prepared a wonderful breakfast each morning, so much that I couldn’t quite finish it. Delicious. Quiet and peaceful place to stay while you explore Cape Charles and the Eastern Shore.”

“The hotel staff are always friendly and courteous. The lobby is clean and well maintained. The interior rooms are in better condition than the outside rooms. Consider adding a bread/bagels/spreads and a toaster on the continental breakfast bar. ”

“The front desk staff were amazing! They had answers for all the questions we asked about the area. Stanley greeted us with a purr. He has to be the sweetest cat ever! Shower water was perfectly hot, bed was comfy. Easy drive to restaurants and sights in the area. We were there in the winter and plan on coming back in the spring.”

“Honestly, we loved it! Cute, quaint, clean and very well maintained. Our room was great, the location was excellent and the town was beautiful. Downside: our TV didn't work, there was no coffee in the lobby, and we saw no hotel staff from the time we checked in at 5:30 p.m. until literally when we we're checking out at 9:00 a.m. ...and the receptionist is very pleasant! Will definitely go back.”
