“We had an absolutely brilliant stay in the Chapel. It is much bigger than it looks with gorgeous high ceilings so it feels very spacious. With a two year old and a large dog, it never felt cramped or like we were on top of each other. And the bathroom is HUGE! We felt incredibly welcomed and will be back without a doubt. Thankyou so much x”

“A lovely spacious place located in the heart of Tavistock. Rooms were great and the living area really spacious. There’s no parking but we made it work with our 3 cars using local roads and short/long stay car parks. The wood fire was out of action but the place was warm and cosy with the heating on.”

“The cottage is located very near to the center of the village, which has everything you need for a long stay. The kitchen is well appointed but we did have problems with the overly sensitive smoke detector. Communication with Lisa was excellent. She responded immediately to any questions we had. The place is best suited for people who plan to spend most of their time outdoors walking and exploring, since it doesn’t have an outdoor patio or yard. Chagford is a very special place with lots to do...

“Lovely cottage with super comfy beds. The hot tub was great. Only downside was the kitchen layout as the sink was the other side of the huge island making it a bit of a hassle when cooking. The main oven did not work and we had to buy a frying pan as there wasn’t one. We also couldn’t get the TV to work in one of the bedrooms. I would also suggest that the chesterfield settee needs either reupholstering or replacing as it was so uncomfortable.”

“Great property - good facilities. Some oddities such as no cafetiere in the kitchen and a no frying pan either (we don't think). Also a bit peeved at the strict recycling requirements and the threat of a £30 fine if we didn't do it properly - odd. Communication with the owners was good though they didn't have the property ready dead on time. All these are relatively minor quibbles though.”

“We had a wonderful 2 nights in the treehouse - such a beautiful peaceful spot. Andy and Caroline were excellent hosts - we were very grateful for the use of the 4 wheel drive to get us down the track and it was interesting to hear the story of the treehouse. It was a unique and memorable experience and we would highly recommend it to others. “I had quite high hopes for this cottage and had seen it a few times before and not booked for one reason or another. I am so pleased I did. It is in a gorgeous position on a quiet lane overlooking fields and completely private and quiet. The stream at the front makes a wonderful sound and always made me happy. The gardens go around the house which is nice for exploring and we didn’t spend any time in the garden really (it was October) but the table and chairs made me think how lovely it would be...
