“Very friendly welcome from the owner who came to pick us up in Orosi, as we couldn't find the address. The garden is beautiful, waking up with birdsongs is wonderful, and the terrace which offers a beautiful view of the garden, is very pleasant. However it's impossible ton be on th terrace from 5 PM, as there are lots of mosquitos. Finally, the interior of the house could do with a facelift, or at the very least a thorough cleaning. ”

“Beautiful tiny house and lovely property with outdoor kitchen, hot tub. Gated home, they provided code to enter driveway + code to access key to get inside property. Nice decorative touches inside for a cozy experience. Location is lovely but is quite remote, at the top of a hill in the mountains. Was able to find on Google Maps. Be mindful of driving the roads to Villzaul- single winding road must be shared by incoming and outgoing traffic.”

“We had a wonderful week in Costa Rica and this was the perfect home base. Conveniently located to the San Jose airport and day trips to Jaco for fun in the sun. We loved coming back to the house in the evening for pool side happy hour and grilling for dinner. Wonderful views of the Central Valley and cool night air provided a perfect setting to cast your cares away. Piet and Yvonne were wonderful hosts and I highly recommend this property.”

“Such a beautiful property & great value!!! Unbelievable views from our room of the waterfall on property grounds. Photos of the property do not do it justice. We booked this very last minute due to a change of schedule due to rain & the host’s communication was very helpful. We were pleasantly surprised at how much we loved our change of plans. Not only was this property beautiful & full of hummingbirds, but Bajos del Toro was charming & had so much to offer. ”

“This villa offers everything you could desire. Beauty, comfort, atmosphere, luxury, art, birds and lovely garden. Pool and hot tub ensure relaxation and exercise. Elias as the caretaker and contact was perfect. Plan on a few days at the Villa without traveling everyday. Would recommend seeing Poás volcano and a trip to the beach at Jaco. Both very easy in a day trip. Many very good places to eat in the town of Atenas. ”

“Ups: Beautiful, old buildings with murals surrounded by all kinds of flowers and trees. The place feels very secure. Great breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs, gallo pinto, bread etc. Downs: They were supposed to provide kitchenware but it was not enough to actually cook for a family. Our room was neglected and the shower was not a pleasure to use. The pool was super cold and a lot smaller than it looks in the pictures but they do have a jacuzzi that was great!”
